This is a wonderful video of one of the great Les Ballet Africains Lead Djembe players. Slowing the replay speed to 50% allows one to see much of his fine technique. Thanks to Wula (Michael) for making this available in tribute to Laurent and the great Guinea Djembe Tradition.
Sorry for the late tag. Man i couldnt see this.masters hand hit the drum. Looks like he was playing in slow motion. Every body is a master on Wula i see it like this. If any of us pick up 25% of any forms or styles of M'Bemba , Olantunji, this great drummer here we will be setting at a nice foundation standard in the U.S. drum scene. 50 percent would be more realistic but Afrikan's are brung up playing djembes Americans play kick ball.
