Coming from the dewalt tripod light, I agree 100% especially with the locking positions. I love that I could fit the m12 rocket light in the locking cabinet of my truck. I used to have to chain lock my dewalt light in the bed of my truck. The only other complaint I have with the light is the on button is exposed and it drained my battery accidentally getting bumped on while in the cabinet. I Just take the battery out when putting away now.

That's funny, I just picked up my M12 Rocket Light (Cyber Monday order) from HD this morning. So far I'm very impressed with the build quality and the brightness this light produces. Awesome tool.

Used my m12 rocket tonight on the eve of the roof removing shingles.. worked perfectly 👌 the tripod was rock steady on the roof peak.

The M12 light was $119 with a 4.0Ah battery in February. I use it all the time. Easy to move around the garage. Also just bought the $25 Husky 10,000 lumen lamp. Lots of movable light!
Given size, weight and performance, I’m hard pressed to come up with a real world use case where the M18 makes sense. M12 for the win.
Yes sir .. like i said u can def tell the m18 bit brighter .. but almost 3x as heavy .. almost 2feet longer in storage mode .. if im lugging that thing around and better be much brighter .. Gen 2 Tower light baby 🤙🤙👍👍😉
Boss I got the gen 1 3000 lumin rocked charger light and the m12 rocket light,truth is I grab the m12 8 of 10 times.love them both.

I have both these lights and I reach for the m12 way more due to size and ease of carry. I like the m18 better for its function but convenience always wins with the m12.
Exactly. My thoughts as well .. would love to see a gen 2 version.. maybe 1800-2000 lumens .. BUT DON'T MAKE IT BIGGER .. well maybe the light head a tad

Does anybody have M18 rocket light and when fully extended to 7 feet have play or wiggle? Just bought Mine with the hack, the 8 battery and got both for $200. But when the light is fully extended, there is a about 1.25" the light can move or wobble. Does anybody else have this issue? I would think it would be more stable.

I wonder if Milwaukee is even using the same test for measuring the lumens of all their different lights. I've got the M18 rocket light that's supposed to be 2500 lumens and I've got the M18 octagonal rover flood light (2361) that's supposed to be 1500 lumens. The 2361 flood light seems brighter than the rocket light even though it's 1000 lumens less. I've even asked a few other people to compare them and they all agree that the 1500 lumen 2361 is brighter than the M18 rocket light.
