Will these feel different from a set of "mega slinkies"? They are almost the same guage wise.

They have a different feel, im about to toss them back on the guitar in the video next week. I'll do a follow up video.

Is the Silver Slinky John Mayer signature strings have MORE Tension? or what is different about them?

@@bluediamondmediaconsulting what does RPS stand for? So the John Mayer strings use LESS wraps around the string core?

@waynegram8907 reinforced plain string. The RPS is what makes some of the cost difference to a nickel set.
From what I understand, the winding is comparable to a standard nickle set, though these are new gauges for EB.
John and EB landed on these specific gauges by screwing around with wrap to core and finding this to be the best balance. They do have a unique feel to them, almost a low tension kind of vibe.
