      @@gshen231 of course not, poverty is very high in that country and the country itself is very poor so there’s not enough money to help, and also their goverment is very corrupted.

      @@TheOnlyTruthTalker Country is not poor for sure. I would not had asked the question if I thought so as governments also become helpless if the country is poor. The government may be corrupt, I may agree with that, in fact most governments around the world are. Just trying to understand why pagpag!!

      In my opinion, I think when she meant financial indepedence is just the ability to make the big choices or finally acknowledge by our familes as no longer dependent. We are for the most part very family oriented but for most of our early lives, we are feed or supported to get by. There comes a time when we can finally stand on our own and even help out the family a bit. Adulthood does not trigger this, financial independence does cause everybody got family who still depend on the family support to get by. So financial independence doesn't mean "I don't need a man" but more so "I can stand on my own"

      Filipino women are always independent, financially, many are college grads even before the U.S. women’s movement. Like in Japan, women play a big role in raising a families. They
      co-manage their family in all aspects.

    • @maalat
      @maalat Рік тому +1

      As far as I know, these women need financial independence to stabilize themselves, and help their families to a fault, but they also need men to become good partners in creating successful families. In the US and developed countries, it’s different. I think it’s very difficult to create families in developed countries unless the household can at lest net around $140,000 a year because everything seems unaffordable now. You will need a two income family or one breadwinner to make at least that amount to house and feed your family in a safe neighborhood. Access to Education maybe easier now because of online education choices, charter schools, affordable private schools… but you still need a spouse to stay home and cover all responsibilities that go with that role. I think the Philippine middle class is still a household with 2 income earners and that’s why the women are always saying they want to be financially independent so that they can help strengthen the family unit.

    I think most want to finish college, work, etc. Money to help their families, mostly. College education is an opportunity in the Philippines and abroad. 2,000,000+ of them work for call centers and contribute $32,000,000,000 to the country’s GDP. Remittances from abroad from their relatives adds $ 24,000,000,000+ to the economy, mostly spend on education and basic needs. I know, I’m a product of a family receiving remittances, and now sending remittances to mostly educate them and for them to have opportunities.

    You say Filipinas are very honest, but if guys go on dating sites they'll find it's pretty difficult to find honest ones. Unless Filipinas are asking directly for money, or sugar coated as support, help, generous , then they're honest. I think your video will go down fine with Filipino viewers , but you're giving a fairly false impression to guys who've not visited Philippines before as to why Filipinas may want to date a foreign guy, as you mentioned because of the type of questions you asked.

    • @Livingabroadalex
      @Livingabroadalex  Рік тому +6

      Did we watch the same video? What impression am I giving? I allowed women to answer and didn't edit put any of their answers. Don't take your negative experiences ot on me.
      Furthermore you must be new to my channel, because I've expressed many times that many women on dating sites only want your money.

    • @fkoff7649
      @fkoff7649 Рік тому +5

      It's not false impressions, the girls giving the answers in the video are saying what they want to say so he said Filipinas on this interviews are honest. DId you even hear a few of the interviewees ssaid they want money? Were you not paying attention? Of course, just like any other countries, there are always those bad apples, or gold diggers. but there are also tons looking for real love or companionship. Perhaps, you were just one of the unlucky ones who didn't find love in Filipina dating sites. Perhaps you're already too old? Unless you are looking for a gold digger, then yea you may find luck on some dating sites but if you're looking for someone or a Filipina who is educated or independent then you definitely will find one, good luck finding that coz you will never fit their standard. Also, FYI, when he started his channel with just 400 subscribers, it went up to 23k just doing PH street interviews, and even increased more when he came back, so yes he will definitely go fine with FIlipino viewers since that's where he started and most other youtube channels out there. Look at his old PH interviews before and you will see he has done many Filipina interviews as well.
