First of all, get a lawyer. Second, sue them and repaint the house the same color you want that's vandalism.. Third, if they don't like your house then they can move somewhere else. Tire detective Anna lawyer the game proof it was them that did it.
1: cops did zero investigation and didn't do their jobs - believable 2: painting company "had to do the job because they were paid to" but asked zero questions about ownership and are now liable for vandalism and their best bet is to offer OP all their evidence and a free repaint to the color of their choice to hope they don't get sued 3: painting company must be a small business if they don't have a legal team telling them this was a massive liability without any documentation other than pictures of a house that anyone could take 4: cops again not doing their jobs by saying neighbors aren't liable for vandalism because they paid someone else to vandalize the house, but the painters are also not liable because they were just doing a job. Also believable, but ask them how much trouble someone would get into for hiring a hitman to murder someone. The client only paid someone else to commit the crime, and the contractor only did the job they were paid for, so who is liable for the crime? Logic falls apart faster than a wet tissue, but is sadly still believable because cops only want authoritarians and literally took it to court that they have the right to refuse to hire someone because they're "too smart".
Especially since according to the cops it’s “not vandalism.” Lmaooo I’m sure if OP does they’ll be pounding on OP’s door annoyed that they actually have to do their jobs. 💀
Get a lawyer. The Police don't actually know the law very well. They only know the bits they are usually called on to enforce and they don't even know those lawsvery well most of the time! Even if the house was painted by a bona-fida company and they were paid to do it, it was painted without the owners consent.. Maybe the Police Chief would like his house painted bright pink with bright yellow dots? I'm sure they'd get their lawyers to pin down what laws you'd broken. Secondly get the lawyer to go after your neighbours for harassment and possibly identity theft/fraud. They' tried and failed to get you to paint your house by legal (if extremely unpleasant and underhanded) methods and when they couldn't get their way they resorted to deception and pretending to be the homeowners, there must be a case for harassment and a cease and desist order at the very least.
It is vandalism since the painting company didn’t look into who actually owned the home. Both the couple ( since they paid for it ) and the painters can get into trouble also report it to the insurance company cause they will 100% do something about it since it’s original color is yellow and you didn’t authorize a change.
BTW! Fuck youtube shorts. Yotuube needs to make it one of their rules that if someone is going to post part of a story they need to link the full story.
Yes you can actually charge them with trespassing by way of the painting company. You can't pay somebody to violate somebody else's property rights that's criminal activity. Also hire a civil rights lawyer and Sue the police department because they did violate your rights
My neighbors didn't like the color of my house was so they had it painted a different color while I was out of town So this is a probably a really weird question for me to ask but it's a weird situation and I'm not really sure what I can do. My house is on a corner lot. Two years ago a newlywed couple moved in to the one house that’s beside mine. Right away they started making weird comments about the color my house was painted (yellow) and soon switched to outright demanding that I paint it a different color. My house was painted yellow when it was built it, I like the color and there is no bylaw against it or anything. They have called the police on me about it as well as the city, both of whom told them to pound sound because I hadn’t done anything wrong and there was nothing they could do. They also tried suing me in court (the suit was thrown out and they had to pay my legal fees) and getting our other neighbors together to form a Home Owner’s Association in the hopes eventually I could be forced to paint my house a different color. Our other neighbors also told them to pound sand and they have basically alienated themselves from everyone else in the neighborhood at this point. I recently had to go out of town for something. I was gone for two weeks. When I got back two days ago my house was gray. Seriously. I actually almost drove past it because I’m so used to my yellow house. I knew immediately who was responsible but when I went over and knocked on their door no one answered. I think the couple figured out that I was away and not just at work when they saw our neighbors collecting my mail for me, because I sure as hell never told them I was going away and I know my other neighbors hate them too and didn’t tell them. The neighbor from across the street came over and showed me pictures that he took of the painting company setting up and doing the work. He said he and another neighbor called the police but the painting company had a valid work order and had been paid so the police couldn’t do anything. He also told about it but because they were paid to do the work they said they had to do it to avoid being sued. I called the painting company to get a copy of the work order and it was in the name of a “Ms. Jane Smith” and was paid for in cash. A redheaded woman and her redheaded husband came to the company to hire them (my neighbors are both redheads) saying they would be out of town and would like their house painted while they were gone. They gave the painting company pictures of my house, taken from the street. I have a surveillance camera at my front and side doors and in my backyard because I work shifts and as a woman living alone I don’t want some stranger breaking into my house and waiting to ambush me when I get home. My neighbors never set foot on my property at any time so they can’t be charged with trespassing and they didn't do the painting (which was actually done properly). When I called the police they re-iterated that since the painters were hired, had a valid work order and were paid to do the job, they can’t be charged with trespassing because it was reasonable for them not to know and they were acting in good faith and didn’t cause any physical damage to the house. Also the neighbors can't be charged with trespassing or vandalism because they didn't come on my property or touch the house themselves. I don’t know if I can sue anyone because there was no actual damage or harm done to me or the house. My neighbors still have not answered their door or shown themselves. I am pissed off beyond belief because I liked my yellow house and I can’t believe how fucking crazy that they have been. I wish I could show a court or city council how psycho they have been over this. I want to know if I have any recourse or if I can do something to get them to pay to paint the house back to yellow. Does anyone know what I can do to get them to fix this and paint it back? Edit: I live in the state of Louisiana
Even if they had formed a Home Owners Association you might nor have had to repaint your house. I was in a neighborhood when an HOA was formed. The court ruled that anyone who owned their house before the HOA was formed was grandfathered and didn’t have to join or abide by their bylaws. If I was you I would consult an attorney.
Story 1: let your neighbors know what they did was straight up shameless and disrespectful as well but they should pay for painting the house the same color for good measure as punishment for their actions, Story 2: the OP's sister is an inhumane and shameless form of an absolute hypocrite based on her actions and always will be plus the OP should leave her husband behind and never look back big time.
That’s dūmb; not really “your” house is it. Might as well call it public property they allow you to live in by paying hundreds of thousands of pounds. How generous of them! /s
Story 1: Call a different paint company, say your going out for a 6 week trip, give then the mean neighbors address, and ask them to paint the house yellow 🫠

OP should have hired painters and have them paint the neighbors house yellow. 😂
I was boutta say that's an option 😂😭 It's petty but it's an option
Especially since according to the cops it’s “not vandalism.” Lmaooo I’m sure if OP does they’ll be pounding on OP’s door annoyed that they actually have to do their jobs. 💀

I would just repaint the house yellow in a brighter color
I agree
Ye and sue them (rlly too bad she couldent actually sue them)
How sounds pink😂
Repaint it neon yellow
I would paint it pink
Fuchsia!
@@katkameo6413that’s what I was going to say. Get inspired by houses in Latin American countries and paint it a super bright color 😂
In the 2nd story, you should report the affair to the university. Best revenge ever.

1st story, she probably sued and mediated and usually those include ndas

Get a picture of neighbors, go to painting company, show pictures, ask if they are the people that paid for the painting, go to court.

Paint it with yellow polka dots

Lol in the uk your neighbours can dictate your house colour. They can complain to the council and they can make you change it.
That’s dūmb; not really “your” house is it. Might as well call it public property they allow you to live in by paying hundreds of thousands of pounds. How generous of them! /s
@brookelynnwu8016 how the neighbourhood looks affects the sale of everyone's property, so yes, the outside is actually controlled by the council
So what's the stop you from waiting until they go out of town and then do in the same thing to them
S2: The comment calling the Academics “delusional and having poor emotional regulation” made me laugh.
Civil court for reimbursement
Your husband and sister were all about the, “doing something behind your back,” and when you knew, it wasn’t hot anymore.
