Bobby doesn’t use any instruments; he makes all the background music with his voice or by snapping, etc. He has another song called Drive that’s really good as well

This song got me through some rough spots when i was a young mama with two little ones, it just put things into perspective. It really is hard to sum this song up, but it's legendary for a reason. And this video with Robin Williams is just a total chef's kiss. Outstanding ❤❤
Bobby McFerrin came to my high school and spoke to the band and choir members back in the 90's. He is such an amazing musician. The most surprising thing he said, that has stuck with me all of these years, is that he wrote this song in 45 minutes just goofing off in the studio. He added that, of all of his songs, this is his least favorite because it was a different style from the rest of his music. After meeting him, I did check out his other stuff which is more vocal less lyric. This is by far his best known hit but I just thought dang, this guy is so talented to have created such a wonderful masterpiece in just 45 minutes just goofing off. Much love to him and to you, Rick, for spreso much love and being such a light in this world that can be very dark at times.

My favorite song back then and even now! Not only due to the message of the song. All was from his mouth. All background and the whole thing, came from him! 😂
