Butterfly is basically the Title Track/OST of that whole Era and the BU Storyline that goes through their MV's, Comics, Books and Games, it's connected to one of the main themes. Highly recommend using Doolset Lyrics, because Namjoons, Yoongis and Hobis writing can't be pushed in one lyric video, those are really watered-down lyrics, there is so much context attached to each Song, Album, and Personal Experience of the Rapline. Especially when you have Yoongi who is using lots of historical references, Namjoon lots of Korean and Social and Cultural Studies and Hobi who always reffering to Novels, Books, and Water Methaphors because his Dad is a Literature Teacher.

I love Butterfly! Personally it is a very important song to me and is one out of many, of bts', that has helped me a lot through the years. The song has a very deep and heavy message. Also there is another version (the Butterfly prologue mix) that has a little softer sound (vocal line only). I highly recommend checking it out if you're interested!😊🤍

Because of the pressure to study, conform, get to a good uni, a good job and a settled life it means kids are competing with their friends and stepping on each other etc… bullying is also a horrific problem in schools in S.K. The lyrics have a lot of clever references etc The SKY acronym used refers to the most prestigious Uni’s in South Korea where every parent dreams to get their kids into. So it’s the message that your life is yours. Despite adults saying the pain, suffering you are experiencing is temporary it will be worth it later and trying to dismiss the real suffering of kids etc BTS is saying say no and to live your own dream while asking society to rethink what brings happiness and accomplishment etc. Rapline: Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hobi really stand out and lyrically in it as well. Just one day has the most adorable dance practice where Tae just couldn’t stop giggling and would shyly try to hide his face. There were so many cuts in the dance practice… It was so endearing… I highly recommend it. Stay Gold is a gorgeous song. For me in Japanese songs Jin and Tae especially always shine the brightest but in Stay Gold all 4 vocal line members slay. Also Jimin and Tae with their pink and yellow fluffy tops are absolutely adorable in the MV. That scene of Tae at the tree… both the scenery and Tae are just so stunningly pretty. Butterfly is an exquisitely delicate and beautiful song that feels fragile to me. For me vocally JK and Tae especially pierce the heart, alongside Jimin and Jin, Hobi’s part is another standout too. There is also a vocal line version of Butterfly that gives me chills with how achingly gorgeous it is. During FESTA 2022 they released dance practices from the past that they had not released before hence why they call it Record. The first time I heard butterfly was when they were playing and Namjoon sing it and then I search it and I saw this dance practice I was impressed by Namjoon's dance and how soft, smooth and delicate he was, till now is one of my favorites dances practices 🤗

There is another version of Butterfly with just the vocal line with an extra verse called Butterfly- Prologure Mix. I listen to it almost every day its so haunting and beautiful, not to mention the sad but beautiful imagery of the lyrics. Its one of my fav BTS songs 💜💜

There's NO way you can't smile when you watch Stay Gold. And yes, it was a pandemic song. I cried the first time I watched and listened because the MV is so beautiful coming out of the dark into the beautiful golden light. The set build behind the scenes was freaking beautiful. They built that entire field of flowers with the tree. 🥺🥺 Butterfly is gorgeous but soooo sad. It is theorized heavily to be about losing one to mental health. The fear that if you're not there to hold their hand, they'll fly away and shatter by themselves. To try and ask them to promise not to go, that it isn't real. 😥😥 To add: you really see that emotion and longing to not reach someone in the choreo. Not wanting to hear it by covering their ears. The prayer imagery with their hands.
Did you watch the Prologue version of Butterfly from Busan concert? If not that is worth it, it's another beautiful version but just vocal line. Staging really compliments it.. I LOVE Just one day. As you know, the members were extremely young when they first debuted and most of them were still in school and kids. Their first three albums heavily focused on the school education system, childish innocent teenage love, and struggles that the youth have to go through because the boys have experienced that sort of thing themselves. They wanted to relate and protect the youth. Once you go through more of the albums you'll notice the older they get, the more mature the themes will get and so will the messages. As the second song "N.O" was not only a comment on the Korean Educational System like others have commented but on something that RM has also spoken about that was he stopped dreaming when he was in middle school and lived a life for his parents dreams. This song speaks to that loss of dreams during youth. Their parents dream of going to university in Seoul (SKY = Seoul's very famous Universities best in the nation). Just an aside as the stairs are reused in an award ceremony performance so are the hands you see, they were used on a performance of "Fake Love" during an award ceremony. They are masters of using things over and over to remind you that this all flows together be it music, lyrics or even props. I think that is why so many are surprised that BTS spent so much time on sets as opposed to CGI. Sets they can use again and for a group that worked with little to no funds that was important early on. And yes ON is related to NO as it is a call to bring it on that they BTS will continue to buck the system and work hard for their dreams. Please correct me if wrong fellow Army. Point is: Very impactful in the last scene of that MV. Went from a beautiful setting full of love n light to a shot of one of them in a dark grungy place. Alone. Head in hands. Imho: Was sending a message of 'no matter HOW BAD IT GETS'..keep hope alive. Never give up. Stay Gold. There IS a light at the end of a tunnel. JUST ONE DAY!!!! It will forever be in my top 5 BTS songs! It’s so sweet, a bit flirty, and reminds me of 90s r&b! N.O. Touches upon the Korean education system. South Korea at one point had the highest rate student suicides because of the pressure put upon students to be #1 in everything. BTS really stood up for the adolescents when they were teenagers themselves. Stay Gold was released in the beginning of the pandemic. And they were telling everyone to just hold on and stay gold we’ll get through it together. Really helped me when my family and I had contracted Covid and not much was known about it. I remembered it always made me feel positive and hopeful during a scary time. I just love BTS! Haha they’re there for all different stages in life and always make you feel like you aren’t alone.

Just One Day was my favorite BTS song for a long time... only when Bulletproof: Eternal came out, did it juuuuust get edged out. lol It just speaks to my little 90's R&B heart! It also has one of the funniest dance practices they've ever done. They were barely holding it together throughout, at one point V is almost purple trying not to laugh. It's classic. Bulletproof: Eternal and Stay Gold are two BTS songs that never fail to make me tear up. One mv not to miss (a lot of reactors do for some reason) is 'Heartbeat', which is a song off their OST for BTS World. The mv is really cool and the song is beautiful.

N.O is a banger! BTS came up with "ON" [Map of the Soul: 7] as a positive switch to N.O. Haruman (Just One Day] is one of my favorites, you notice Jin has that flower like he did in Boy With Luv [Map of the Soul: Persona]. There are different versions of Butterfly, if you watched the Busan concert last year, the vocal line [Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook] performed the Prologue version - people were weeping, there were so many baby ARMY, they weren't expecting them to perform that song or had no idea about the existence of that song, it threw them for a loop. Of course, live versions of any of these songs are best, N.O from the ON:E online concert was crazy good! And Butterfly (Music Core) is one of the better ones with the full group.

Festa is an annual celebration around the date they debuted. It's approximately 10-12 days and usually ends with a fan concert, the so-called Muster (muster means to gather the troops of an army(!)). During Festa they release content like Festa Room Live, skits, new songs, unseen content (like the Butterfly dance practice), talks about the year, etc. We never know what'll happen but it's often quite personal content. In 2022 ARMY even co-wrote the song My You with Jungkook during a Vlive. It's basically a BTS/ARMY love fest all around. 💜
Actually FESTA and the Muster are not connected. There have been years there was no Muster and only twice that they held it around the same time as FESTA (2019 and 2021).
You can hear Jungkook adlibs back up vocals and harmonizing with everyone all throughout the song in one just day. His vocals is so good he doesn't use autotune his voice the same live or not. please react to the rise of bangtan series. n.o. is actually so much more powerful than it already seems. in korea they literally study for 15 hours a day they go to school then go to another school after to study more. sky are the first letters of prestigious korean colleges that all of the students in korea try to get into. korea has the highest s_icide rate especially among kids and teens. so the imagery is very literal bts are fighting back against the system.
You really picked a superb line-up this time! All the songs were so great but my favorites are the Stay Gold and Butterfly songs. I would love to see Butterfly done live with the choreography. They performed it in Busan last October, but didn't dance that time (they had CGI butterflies flying all around instead). It's good to know the lyrics and meanings behind the songs, but then watching the lives really makes a lasting impression for sure! Thanks for continuing on the BTS journey, like I am. I love every version of Butterfly. They did the vocal line version in Busan, and then we found out soon after that they were enlisting... And their choice to include Butterfly really hit. Its lyrics are all about fear that if you let go, the one you love will be gone. They asked us to trust them, later in that concert. I think it makes sense for them to be afraid to let go. 💜
Oh, and Butterfly's choreographer is Brian Puspos - I really love him and his work. He did Serendipity too, and he and Jimin have a great mutual admiration thing going. His style plays to Jimin's strengths. They all did a beautiful job with the choreography for Butterfly. It's harder than it looks. 😁

In the butterfly mv you will see Taehyung is jumping on the river and leaving everyone behind. It's a really sad when those lyrics really hit you hard

Butterfly is basically the Title Track/OST of that whole Era and the BU Storyline that goes through their MV's, Comics, Books and Games, it's connected to one of the main themes. Highly recommend using Doolset Lyrics, because Namjoons, Yoongis and Hobis writing can't be pushed in one lyric video, those are really watered-down lyrics, there is so much context attached to each Song, Album, and Personal Experience of the Rapline. Especially when you have Yoongi who is using lots of historical references, Namjoon lots of Korean and Social and Cultural Studies and Hobi who always reffering to Novels, Books, and Water Methaphors because his Dad is a Literature Teacher.

Thanks for this lovely reaction. N.O is very much a song with a message. S.K has one of the highest rates for Teen suicides in the world. Because of the pressure to study, conform, get to a good uni, a good job and a settled life it means kids are competing with their friends and stepping on each other etc… bullying is also a horrific problem in schools in S.K. The lyrics have a lot of clever references etc The SKY acronym used refers to the most prestigious Uni’s in South Korea where every parent dreams to get their kids into. So it’s the message that your life is yours. Despite adults saying the pain, suffering you are experiencing is temporary it will be worth it later and trying to dismiss the real suffering of kids etc BTS is saying say no and to live your own dream while asking society to rethink what brings happiness and accomplishment etc. Rapline: Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hobi really stand out and lyrically in it as well. Just one day has the most adorable dance practice where Tae just couldn’t stop giggling and would shyly try to hide his face. There were so many cuts in the dance practice… It was so endearing… I highly recommend it. Stay Gold is a gorgeous song. For me in Japanese songs Jin and Tae especially always shine the brightest but in Stay Gold all 4 vocal line members slay. Also Jimin and Tae with their pink and yellow fluffy tops are absolutely adorable in the MV. That scene of Tae at the tree… both the scenery and Tae are just so stunningly pretty. Butterfly is an exquisitely delicate and beautiful song that feels fragile to me. For me vocally JK and Tae especially pierce the heart, alongside Jimin and Jin, Hobi’s part is another standout too. There is also a vocal line version of Butterfly that gives me chills with how achingly gorgeous it is. During FESTA 2022 they released dance practices from the past that they had not released before hence why they call it Record. Butterfly is gorgeous but soooo sad. It is theorized heavily to be about losing one to mental health. The fear that if you're not there to hold their hand, they'll fly away and shatter by themselves. To try and ask them to promise not to go, that it isn't real. 😥😥
To add: you really see that emotion and longing to not reach someone in the choreo. Not wanting to hear it by covering their ears. The prayer imagery with their hands.

Just like a few people already mentioned but bts and their albums basically grew along with the members. As you know, the members were extremely young when they first debuted and most of them were still in school and kids. Their first three albums heavily focused on the school education system, childish innocent teenage love, and struggles that the youth have to go through because the boys have experienced that sort of thing themselves. They wanted to relate and protect the youth. Once you go through more of the albums you'll notice the older they get, the more mature the themes will get and so will the messages.

Actually the first verse is the first verse of Suga's part in the first song "No More Dream" RM says 'What's your dream' then Suga says 'I want a big car, big house big rings' which he goes on to repeat in several songs. As the second song "N.O" was not only a comment on the Korean Educational System like others have commented but on something that RM has also spoken about that was he stopped dreaming when he was in middle school and lived a life for his parents dreams. This song speaks to that loss of dreams during youth. Their parents dream of going to university in Seoul (SKY = Seoul's very famous Universities best in the nation). Just an aside as the stairs are reused in an award ceremony performance so are the hands you see, they were used on a performance of "Fake Love" during an award ceremony. They are masters of using things over and over to remind you that this all flows together be it music, lyrics or even props. I think that is why so many are surprised that BTS spent so much time on sets as opposed to CGI. Sets they can use again and for a group that worked with little to no funds that was important early on.
And yes ON is related to NO as it is a call to bring it on that they BTS will continue to buck the system and work hard for their dreams. Heya: 'Stay Gold'....touches hard. Almost feel like (there is a version - out there - of a Gospel Choir backing them) in some performance. Somewhere around the world lol. Please correct me if wrong fellow Army. Point is: Very impactful in the last scene of that MV. Went from a beautiful setting full of love n light to a shot of one of them in a dark grungy place. Alone. Head in hands. Imho: Was sending a message of 'no matter HOW BAD IT GETS'..keep hope alive. Never give up. Stay Gold. There IS a light at the end of a tunnel. N.O. Touches upon the Korean education system. South Korea at one point had the highest rate student suicides because of the pressure put upon students to be #1 in everything. BTS really stood up for the adolescents when they were teenagers themselves.
Stay Gold was released in the beginning of the pandemic. And they were telling everyone to just hold on and stay gold we’ll get through it together. Really helped me when my family and I had contracted Covid and not much was known about it. I remembered it always made me feel positive and hopeful during a scary time.
I just love BTS! Haha they’re there for all different stages in life and always make you feel like you aren’t alone.

Just One Day was my favorite BTS song for a long time... only when Bulletproof: Eternal came out, did it juuuuust get edged out. lol It just speaks to my little 90's R&B heart!
It also has one of the funniest dance practices they've ever done. They were barely holding it together throughout, at one point V is almost purple trying not to laugh. It's classic.

N.O is a banger! BTS came up with "ON" [Map of the Soul: 7] as a positive switch to N.O. Haruman (Just One Day] is one of my favorites, you notice Jin has that flower like he did in Boy With Luv [Map of the Soul: Persona]. There are different versions of Butterfly, if you watched the Busan concert last year, the vocal line [Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook] performed the Prologue version - people were weeping, there were so many baby ARMY, they weren't expecting them to perform that song or had no idea about the existence of that song, it threw them for a loop. Of course, live versions of any of these songs are best, N.O from the ON:E online concert was crazy good! And Butterfly (Music Core) is one of the better ones with the full group.

Festa is an annual celebration around the date they debuted. It's approximately 10-12 days and usually ends with a fan concert, the so-called Muster (muster means to gather the troops of an army(!)). During Festa they release content like Festa Room Live, skits, new songs, unseen content (like the Butterfly dance practice), talks about the year, etc. We never know what'll happen but it's often quite personal content. In 2022 ARMY even co-wrote the song My You with Jungkook during a Vlive. It's basically a BTS/ARMY love fest all around.

n.o. is actually so much more powerful than it already seems. in korea they literally study for 15 hours a day they go to school then go to another school after to study more. sky are the first letters of prestigious korean colleges that all of the students in korea try to get into. korea has the highest s_icide rate especially among kids and teens. so the imagery is very literal bts are fighting back against the system.
You really picked a superb line-up this time! All the songs were so great but my favorites are the Stay Gold and Butterfly songs. I would love to see Butterfly done live with the choreography. They performed it in Busan last October, but didn't dance that time (they had CGI butterflies flying all around instead). It's good to know the lyrics and meanings behind the songs, but then watching the lives really makes a lasting impression for sure! Thanks for continuing on the BTS journey, like I am. I only found them May 2021, and I'll never look away from them!

I love every version of Butterfly.
They did the vocal line version in Busan, and then we found out soon after that they were enlisting... And their choice to include Butterfly really hit. Its lyrics are all about fear that if you let go, the one you love will be gone.
They asked us to trust them, later in that concert. I think it makes sense for them to be afraid to let go. 💜
Oh, and Butterfly's choreographer is Brian Puspos - I really love him and his work. He did Serendipity too, and he and Jimin have a great mutual admiration thing going. His style plays to Jimin's strengths.
They all did a beautiful job with the choreography for Butterfly. It's harder than it looks. 😁

butterfly is a gem!! its strangely underrated... the same goes for just one day, and house of cards (which I think you'll really like too!).There's just something about songs that sound chill but have deep/sad lyrics (even though just one day just had cute lyrics lol).

Just One Day is my favorite BTS song for the reasons u mentioned. It’s so easy to get swept away by the nostalgia of it and how purely happy & romantic it is. The r&b element to it & just the overall vibe makes me instantaneously happy. It’s my anthem

Am I Wrong is a deceptively peppy song, but it's actually a cheeky social/political commentary. Kind of badass of them to make and perform such a song - in the political climate at the time, they risked being blacklisted by the government. It was 2016 and BTS were just about to blow up in terms of popularity and (by year's end) winning everything in sight from then on (their legendary status was just in the beginning stages then, which meant there was little buffer or protection for them, should the government have singled them out for criticism).
