Pastor Michael is on a mission to save the family. He understands the feminists movements trying to make boys, men, and fathers weak. County over Country is huge. He needs to take this conference nation wide. Too many weak churches and weak pastors.

As missionaries in Geneva, Illinois, we endorse this concept heartily.

We are in Carbondale, Illinois. It is great to see others at work in our state.

      @@cornerstoneworkworldviewin7716 not too far away!
Yes, good to know that not all the good ones have left Illinois.

Practical message. I enjoy the humor! Thanks, East River Church, for recording this conference. We've been plodding through them over the past couple weeks.

I have been griping at missionaries for years for neglecting our own communities. And its a big reason why it has become difficult to find a church that can actually help a person grow. I am now looking at Batavia which is an hour away. A good pastor is important to me and i see KY churches in a major crisis in that regard. Toi many young pastors who have no gift of insight or enough love for Truth to avoid falling into their own Pride on a pedestal.

Great stuff man. Can't wait to get your book! Love these practical tips by the way.
    1. Working on building my band of brothers in the new year by hosting events and get togethers, Bible studies and worship nights at my homestead.
    2. Literally building an analog home library for those same reasons you mentioned.
    3. Still identifying my community to impact.
    Thanks again!

"The problem with Tim Keller is he's a coward" - amazing talk and spot-on analysis. Such a wild and good message.

Very strange letters from missionary Bob, that have me wondering if he was either somewhat isolated from the Assemblies of God or if he just wasn’t thinking about his choice of words. The Assemblies of God actually has two official branches of missions: foreign missions and home missions, neither of which should be confused with lay ministers, which term is rarely used, as everyone is considered a missionary/evangelist/minister.
Incidentally, I had the pleasure of meeting David Wilkerson at an outreach years ago in Chicago city park. While there, I also had the opportunity to meet a man who revealed the needle marks up and down his arms, who had went to a Teen Challenge, became a Christian and later a president of one of the Teen Challenges in Chicago.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your conference videos. I’m highly anticipating watching the series. I am very encouraged and challenged by your ministry.

Mr Foster, what do you think non-Anglo ethnic churches can do to be more local, since their members commute in from often half an hour away?

Eventually the rest of us Christians will realize that the Amish and Mennonites seemed to be at least partially right...
I'm a "Fundy" Baptist with Mennonite tendencies haha. Still got me a flip phone ;).
We moved to very rural Appalachia. Why? Because the culture is still overwhelmingly Christian, and not just Christian In Name Only. My neighbors and I have the same culture and I'm in a strong, multi-generation community of people where we all rely one upon the other in times of need. We can be a "City-State" as Michael says, although our nearest "city" is 10 miles away with 150 people...

Pastoral ministry seems to be a lost art.
