Thanks for taking us inside PL’s!! Didn’t know it was in Vegas. Thanks for honest critique. As a food service professional at an evenly priced steakhouse in Omaha, I can say that I professionally concur with your negatives. The sides looked like $10-$12, that bacon was fine at $14. Our pork belly is a vastly better pork appetizer, 10 oz for nearer to $20. That crab cake was way overpriced unless it was a big mound of Alaskan King Crab, then it would elevate to a positive. The steak was in line with what we produce here, but we also include more exotic and expensive cuts as well, as does PL’s. I’m as pleased that you also knew when to commend what was done well. It lends you credibility. I’ll watch you again, thank You!

You could do a cross country tour of all the premium steak houses and review them. I love this idea because many people will never be able to afford to eat at these places.
I like how she is offering a mea culpa for using the sauce on the bread. If I'm paying $330 for a typical steakhouse dinner, I'll use it however the hell I want.
I used to follow a few Vegas channels similar to this one, but yours is the last one I currently follow simply because you're not a Shill to any of these places. Thank you.
Cheap food went by the wayside when Vegas expanded to attractions beyond gambling and high end shows. Once they started marketing to families and developing different entertainment options for non-gamblers, the average tourist was no longer losing enough in the casinos to justify the $1 buffets and $2 steak dinners.
@@327ErichWhat attractions are tourists seeing when they stay on the strip? Cheap for the most part was lost when they switched to faux luxury. There are lots of casinos closer to everyone in states, but now that offer high end restaurants, designer shopping, and spas. And, as such it also attracts foreign visitors. Ellis island is still there and serving reasonably priced food. As is the Coronado Cafe.
@@jamespohl-md2eq There are tons of attractions on the strip. Shows, art museums, exhibits, roller coaster, malls, live music, street performers, picture locations, sporting events, races, etc...
I usually go to Andiano at the D when I'm in Vegas. Great service and steak for a good value. I feel more appreciated by the staff downtown at the nicer places than anywhere on the strip.
To all "Luger" aficionados, the joke's on you. Nothing beats having a 16 ounce rib eye cooked medium rare with 6 ice cold draft beers at Texas Roadhouse.
As I understand from some reviews , Peter Luger,s in New York isn't that great.Never been there.Rather go to Texas Road House here.I can also go buy steaks at HEB and get the rest of the meal there too.
This meal would have cost a fraction for me. The reason you loved the steak so much is because it is a steak house. I wouldn't order salmon, $25 drinks, mushrooms or a piece of bacon. I will get steak, potatoes and a soda and be perfectly happy. I liked your review and all your videos as far as that goes. Thanks for posting!!
For everyone who thinks a $25 cocktail is crazy (it is), I can do you one worse: I ate there in January and while waiting for friends beforehand, I had a well G+T at the bar right outside for $20. Well! 😅
Every single part of this an absolute joke price wise. Given how many options (even "high end" ones) exist on the strip these prices are utterly unjustifiable. Thank you for being so honest and refreshing with this!

They soft opened in late Oct last year and we gave it shot during our Halloween trip. Had the NY strip, rank it 5 out of 10 and not worth the price as we just found the flavor bland. No idea if the reason why was because we went before they were fully open. Best steak on the strip is the F1 Wagyu at Jean George at Aria, it isn't too rich like a Kobe, has incredible flavor and obviously is expensive
@@SpaceForceCooks you get the porterhouse for 2, 3, or 4 at Luger. It’s a NY style steakhouse and that’s what they do well. The strip probably isn’t even the same quality beef

Prices are so ridiculous. I am going to Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam instead of Las Vegas. The only thing more expensive is the flight, and everything else is much more affordable. Last time I spent $50 a day on meals and ate like a king! 👑👑👑
IMHO, the steak and salmon prices are reasonable, but the portions should be a bit larger. The could easily do a 140z steak for that price. Using Capital Grill as a comparison, a 18oz strip is $64 in LV and a 14oz dry aged strip is $60. Maybe there is something that sets Peter Luger above Capital Grill, but Capital Grill is certainly a respected brand. In any event, I suspect the average diner (that doesn't eat $300 per person meals weekly) is not likely to detect any noticeable difference. The sides seem very reasonable to me. I'm not familiar with that wine, so maybe. Even the desert is reasonable. But the bacon and cocktail are just stupid.
For these prices, I can go buy a Le Creuset cast iron pan and 3 beautiful rib eyes from Whole Foods for cheaper and make a better meal. I can't justify spending stupid money on food these days.
That's how medium rare is supposed to look. Medium rare is pink near the edges and red in the center. Rare is Red throughout, and so dark it's almost blue in the center. If you want pink edge to edge, order it Medium.

Peter Luger’s vlogs are the only ones where I’m more curious to see the bill than the actual food.
The sauce is their trademark Steak sauce. It contains tamarind, && anchovy paste. They don't grill over wood or charcoal. They use 1OOOwatt Broiler& for me- rather spend the money for steak grilled over wood..Nothing beats wood Grilled steak.
Interesting sauce. I love going to the Mexican supermarket for tamarind and making my own tamarind juice to drink
If you like that kind of sauce you can buy HP Sauce, it contains tamarind.
@@RoseanneSeason7HP Sauce from Britain contains tamarind. The HP stands for House of Parliament.
No sauce on steak. I don't care how good it is. That's heresy.
Might as well cook it well done.
@@usa91787Exactly .. I just cook mine in a hot cast iron pan with salt/pepper and butter.
prices on the strip restaurants are already outrageous but getting information like this helps narrow the ROI. thanks.
I wonder if she complained to the manager about the bread and sauce 😂
She certainly has the Karen haircut and a lot of pretentiousness.
I'm sure if she keeps slamming down $25 cocktails, her true nature will come out.
Thx Jacob !! I will never wind up in LAS or NYC but good to see y’all enjoying your evening !! I enjoy your video’s from my cabin in the Alabama woods
Overpriced with average food: Welcome to Las Vegas 😊
Most people will get over it.
Yes, Vegas is overpriced for sure, but I wouldn't call that average necessarily.
Def not average. I had one of the best meals of my life there.
@@iamsam8446It's average!

@@RyanMatis I would rather stay downtown and wouldn't bother me at all if I don't go to the strip when I am there. I was there at end of May went to the strip to show my friend, who was on her first trip, the difference between the two areas and I couldn't wait to get back downtown
@@RyanMatis
For real. I don't complain because I like 4 Queens, but that restaurant is like a HoJo's. Very average food with zero ambience.
this is when you know you made it. By far one of the best vegas channels out there.
Jacob:always laying out the dough for friends without benefits.
what do you mean
I like it when you go off your usual slot machine videos. You are Mr. Vegas and I like your take on what's going on in Sin City.
Thought she was gonna ask for the manager with that hairstyle.

Excellent video and the comparison to Hugo’s cellar answered the real questions I had
Thanks Jake for being honest about the experience
This is what sets you apart from other influencers
Love your videos 👍🏼
You could do a cross country tour of all the premium steak houses and review them. I love this idea because many people will never be able to afford to eat at these places.
Appreciate your honest review Jacob!
Damn 24.95 for a cocktail.....even in New York it wasn't that bad
Unfortunately, that's typical for the strip.
I like how she is offering a mea culpa for using the sauce on the bread. If I'm paying $330 for a typical steakhouse dinner, I'll use it however the hell I want.
Loving your content Jacob. I enjoy this date like evenings out with other Vegas local ladies. Laci raises up your cool points as well. Cheers !!
She's seems mid and not cultured lop. Bt it is Jacob
I used to follow a few Vegas channels similar to this one, but yours is the last one I currently follow simply because you're not a Shill to any of these places. Thank you.
LOOKED GOOD ... EXPENSIVE, yes. THANKS for the review 👍
Thanks Jacob. You show it all.
You're welcome! I like to give some variety
What ever happened to the $2 steak dinners Vegas had? Haha
Free food at the homeless shelter
Back in 1975 I passed through Vegas on the way to the Grand Canyon. Really high quality .99 cent breakfasts with all the fixin's.
That’s a smart move! More friends on board means more fun and extra bonuses to go around. Let’s spread the word

I usually go to Andiano at the D when I'm in Vegas. Great service and steak for a good value. I feel more appreciated by the staff downtown at the nicer places than anywhere on the strip.
Detroit Coney Island 🌭🌭in the D is also amazing!
It’s not worth it in Brooklyn either
I agree. The waitstaff in Brooklyn are the nastiest fuCCCks as well. Being a native of Brooklyn, I never got the admiration of Lugar’s.
💯
To all "Luger" aficionados, the joke's on you. Nothing beats having a 16 ounce rib eye cooked medium rare with 6 ice cold draft beers at Texas Roadhouse.
As I understand from some reviews , Peter Luger,s in New York isn't that great.Never been there.Rather go to Texas Road House here.I can also go buy steaks at HEB and get the rest of the meal there too.

Two Words: GOLDEN STEER! 👈😋
YES!!!!! 👍
forever and always
Yes as a Vegas local Golden Steer. Be prepared to pay. Sit in the Sammy Davis booth
@@westadam8890 True, but I've always felt like I get my money's worth there!
(The history + food + table side presentations etc...)
Golden Steer or Joe's Seafood, prime steak for the win.
I used my bonus on roulette and a few slots. There’s something about that initial extra padding that makes it more fun
For everyone who thinks a $25 cocktail is crazy (it is), I can do you one worse: I ate there in January and while waiting for friends beforehand, I had a well G+T at the bar right outside for $20. Well! 😅
Vegas is such a ripoff now
@@zebrashark23 just be mindful as to where you spend you money. It is still a cheaper vacation than a week on the beach or a Disney/Universal trip.
Try the Steak House at Circus Circus. You will be pleasantly surprised. They age their steaks on site. Liked them more than Golden Steer.
Every single part of this an absolute joke price wise. Given how many options (even "high end" ones) exist on the strip these prices are utterly unjustifiable.
Thank you for being so honest and refreshing with this!
Appreciate your honesty. Agree, not worth it.
Interesting! I’m thinking about going to Barry’s while I’m in town for Wrestlemania with my buddy. This type of video would be so perfect. Thanks again, Jacob!
$25 for a margarita is ridiculous
People out west are ridiculous as well, so it fits.
Get used to it. Any thing above a dennys is $15-20

I honestly think it’s a case of “white people food” they don’t want to season the steaks to much because people who think pepper is spicy will send it back lol
LOVE that you DONT kiss anyone's a** when you create a food review. You lay it flat out. This is good vs this is just boring. I did see a couple nice things at Lugars, just not enough to spend $300 bucks. Keepem coming Jacob!
Was shocked when a friend had a beer in a NY bar in 1972 and paid $1.
Right! It was 50 cents in Madison Wi. I was ok with that.
What’s even more shocking is the cost of rent in NY then vs now
Yes and their crash games are pretty cool too started on a recommendation from a friend and now I’m hooked

Saw your video with Simon Wilson, that was pretty cool. I'll be in Vegas in 2 weeks, haven't been there in over 12 years, looking forward to see whats changed.
You will be very dissapointed with what has happened with Vegas. I go to Laughlin now...Vegas is excessively expensive and not the town it once was. Half your money is drained just checking into your hotel.
I no longer think that my weekly grocery bill is too high

Expect sticker shock for everything on the Vegas Strip (or stay off the Strip). I personally love Peter Luger for its high quality food, exceptional service, and prime location in Caesars Palace
That sundae reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with Jerry flying first class. He enjoyed a similar sundae with a young lady, while Elaine struggled in coach.

WTH? 😂 1) She’s got an annoying voice and comes across smug/pretentious…so much so, I stopped the video and went straight to comments. 2) She’s barely a 3/4 out of 10. She’s been smashed and dash so much in her life, I’m surprised if he’s even interested..maybe after a $25 cocktail, but she’s not take her back to my crib material. 3) Jacobs true crush and mission is to sack the Latina, Norma G. He’s been trying to tap that for a while, but she’s not feeling the dude as she can pull VIPs, or that other Tuber from San Diego. Jacob to high strung for Norma. Anyways…that was better than a dance at Deja Vu 😂😂😂😂😂

In my opinion all those prices need to be slashed by 50% to be worth it.
