You can put a balista on the ground (and pack it) . You can harpoon chests even if the balista is not on the walker. Once harpooned run against the chest, you can easily destroy it that way and farm shards
A couple tips is being good at bannerlord and learning grappling like a maniac. I've managed to kill 6v1 even more not kidding alwsy take the weapons to exhaust their supplies and eventually they all just got no armour and stuff leave the resources for after you kill them enough. Never get to greedy once you got loot bank it fast then return so if you die they still have minimal weapons . If there are huge clans of 50+ I pick off the farmers and hide the loot in box's in corners then try escape later don't go near the elites they all most likely in discord. Solo is the only way I enjoy these games aha like a bandit huge world
My personal advice using this walker is to farm in the canyons. If someone comes in to the cannon to attack you, you can literally run vertical up the canyon walls and never be caught
good tipps. instead of driving with the dinghy to the spider put your inventory in the character and switch walkers. Dinghy get the base out put stuff in and change walkers again. The wight works every time against you. A spider with 800 kg + is nearly impossible to get up hills. Last point to note: Dinghy & Stilettos are faster then you.
that is true but if you drive smart you can out mover the bigger walkers and then get a way. 9/10 times players will lose intrest in a small spider if they get stuck on a wall and need to turn around its just not worth the time but it is good to know because if your out in the open and there is no terain you can get the bigger walker stuck on the bigger walker will catch up with you

I've been playing with a group sort of farming shards for them and I love the spider with the ballista. It's amazing since it can get those loot boxes that you drag to open and spiders can climb straight up cliffs. Getting the water backpack and two water jugs will let you hold a bunch of extra water to be out and about for extra long without needing to craft water. Campfires are super easy to make anywhere so if you do need water in a pinch just plant one or two down after farming up what you can for water in the area. I've never done pvp on the game yet though, but every walker I run across in that spider they either don't see me or don't care that I'm there.

So you would lose only what you had got recently as your base would be safe. Also the fire arrows take time so if they can get at your spider walker for that long they probably already won the fight.

Playing solo you're more a spectator to some aspects of the game, but yes, a lot of people like just exploring and crafting with the danger of other players.

U never build a ballista spider.What you do is build a normal spider and pack a ballista inside it.That way u can shoot fire bolts too and have packing room for chests/stations.Also the ballista spider has a visual bug where if you go down hill, your camera goes in to the spider and you see a black hole :)
Did you mention they can climb walls? Another reason to stick around canyons. People can jump off, but they have to follow the ramp all the way back up. You have to be careful about getting harpooned but you can climb up and out to completely lose someone.
the reason I don't like to use the spider walker is because the one with the ballista can'T pack structures, and the one which can doesn't have a ballista. (for the lootboxes). I still using my Firefly Walker, with a campfire and ballista and a medium chest packed. You can pretend to be a beginner/newbie and people usually let you be, they tend to not be bothered about Firefly walkers. Unless you can pack a ballista for the 3rd slot in your spider walker. If you can mount that on the ground harpoon the box and reverse into it with the spider walker. If the box breakes that way, the spider walker could be a good option and i would consider switching to it.
@@anthragestormrider2493 Craze Dhark He is saying you can take everything out of the spider walker. Do the 2 minute countdown somewhere safe like around trees and rocks. Then take your base walker out. Pack it up and then take it back out and come back in with the spider. Really fast and simple way to do it all from safety.
firespark - have you found out what the difference of logging out in edge of map with L or logging out at edge of map doing esc -> transfer to lobby? with L its instant and transfering to lobby takes 21 seconds. im unsure that L is bugged and will be fixed someday.
"Transfer to lobby" option is for just transferring the walker without you on. When you control the walker, hit Escape, transfer to lobby and jump off your walker, then your walker will despawn in about 20 seconds. You can also use this option in the middle of the map, but it will take the full 2 minutes and you will get sand in your gears when logging back in at the edge of the map.
You should build a platform and put you chests and crafting stations on it then pack it all as one structure and you will have two open slots and you will also have a one click unpack and pack. Allowing you to pack up fast if you see anyone coming your way.

But my favorite choice would be seperate servers for small clans, then most big clans will stick to the big clan servers anyway and the smaller clan servers are more fair to not be zerged by 10 people if ur alone or with 2 or so. I love the game and am fully expecting them to do something amongst these lines down the road

you hit esc to bring up the menu, hit transfer to lobby. Starts a timer, after 120 sec. That walker(and everyone on it) will transfer to lobby, and will be off the oasis, and cannot be attacked. If you don't do this, your walker or your body will be still on the oasis, and vulnerable to attack even when ur offline. Walkers can pack "base". Each one is slightly different, spiders walkers can only pack 3 small things (crafting stations, chests). Bigger walkers can pack a "base", which a base is made up of wooden platform, which then you can stick multiple chests, and crafting stations on top. Then you can pack and unpack that base into and out of your walker. I bascially have a small house stored in my tobogann full of chests, that I can take out and safely pack in when I want.
If you are playing alone don't build a large walker, the bigger the walker the bigger the fight, we are a 4 man group and constantly meet 10-15 clans with 3 ships or 30+ zergs, build small and unassuming and pray they aren't bored
Dusty we don’t really do it because we are bored it’s more because we want tile control while we farm for larger raids and with the hard maps coming out we had to tile control so we could be the only ones making tablets.

Even in a clan where you do your own thing. for this game you really need a real life friend or someone you have played games with for years and trust so you can pool tablets and organise who is learning what. I've just given up on it now and just farm cattail in massive amounts in my toboggan and sell it. I don't even know why
They need to fix the huge clans problem just running around Zerging everything. Its not "PVP" in my world. PVP is fair combat between clans or over some resourse. But _all_those huge clans currently is just roaming with their buffalo with 30+ people attacking solor players or small cland over nothing that pure fun. Thats not PVP in my world, its just lame zerging.
I was going to play the game, but then I expected exactly what you said. People enjoy grieving others. Add in the high probability of cheating, it becomes more frustrating then fun.

I’ve always loved survival games and this is hands down far better balanced than other Games like it In my book, clans are always on the move, u can transfer your ship to lobby if need be, it’s friendly for any group or solo player to play, I’d say it’s more fun with a group but plenty to do as a solo. If not then join a clan too
There's no way I would only use a spider and look over my shoulder every 10sec. Why be so paranoid about it? The PvP is so much fun. I'm solo and love a good fight. You don't really lose much as long as you don't always keep a ton of valueble stuff on your active walker. My advice is to get dirty and be the aggressor sometimes. If you're worried about getting ganked all of the time, you're going to miss out on the game.
This is good till you get rolled by a larger clan that completely destroys the walker. It can become very times consuming having to replace wing, legs and repair the haul. It only takes 7 flame bolts to break into a dinghy
This guide is mostly for obtaining all the prep resources before you feel comfortable putting a battle walker at risk. Have your safe resource walker and your spider, then build a separate battle walker you don't mind losing and go pvp till your heart's content, knowing that you have tonnes of backup.
Spider is the worst walker for solo players. Thing dies to repeaters. Takes literally 2 mins of farming to be able to make a repeater and enough ammo to raid a spider. This game is meant for zergs only but if you INSIST on playing solo/small group make dinghies and dont leave anything valuable in them.

Only if the person in the spider does not know how to drive. I had a dinghy try for 10 solid minutes to take out my spider with repeaters and the spider's mobility made it impossible. As soon as you hear them start to fire, you reverse direction - the thing turns on a dime - and you head towards them, evade and repeat. Eventually the ammo cost becomes too high and they will attempt to board you, during which you will normally get them stuck between your legs and the walker body. Yes the spider has low HP, but it's effectiveness depends largely on the driver. For scouting and frag-farming, the no-wing (unable to IFF at a distance), low profile vertical capable Spider is extremely effective.
Solo on this game isn’t fun at all it’s pointless and has no meaning, seeing as every time you encounter someone there in a large group so pvp is a instant loss especially when they have much better gear and a lot more of it furthermore fighting rupu is a drag Aswell and takes such a long time and then you’re constantly watching over your shoulder for a clan to roll up, this game COULD be a solo game however it doesn’t work at all seeing as trading also has no real purpose as groups would just kill you if you attempted to make a trade with them
You missed something I believe. The Spider Walker can move up steep vertical mountains where other walkers cannot.

Btw the spider walker is remarkably easy to break in to im talking 1 fire arrow maybe two if you arent patient and dont wait for burn

I think it is important to build spider with balista even if playing solo, because you can destroy bigger crates for 20-25 fragments

Raiders get on my spider and pop me in the head all the time, doesnt seem like they have a problem getting on it.

you only need to wait 20 seconds to safe log when your walker is in the sand
I allways safe logout on sand and it takes full 2 minutes

The way you showed it is fine, but it turns it from a game into a chore..
They just need to either implement a reasonable clan size limit or make seperate small clan servers and problem solved.

Spider balista is useless for solo play as it lacks packing and you can't shoot and drive.
but you can shoot and drive at the same time with other walkers?

Only benefit is breaking large crates using the harpoon which is decent but not worth losing packing in most cases.
