I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio in 1964 before moving to the great state of West Virginia my father's hometown but growing up I never had an encounter nor do I want one of the creatures but that last story about the 14 yr old broke my heart hearing about his parents... my father was a bad drunk and smoked and my mother only smoked which caused her premature death at age 38 I was 16 and that's when things went from bad to worse for me and my brothers but I hope that dude made it fine in life where here can be happy... im glad I found this channel yesterday cause I love listening to these bigfoot stories as I'm faking asleep.... im a skeptic turned believer without needing a encounter because I've always kept my mind open about things in life... people ask me all the time how can I believe in something I've never seen and I tell them easy...I've never seen God or his son Jesus Christ but yet I believe in them and that's usually all I gotta say.... thumbs up on this channel!!! 👍👍

Hi, Ive been glued to Cam at "dixie cryptid", love his stories/narration. Dont tend to find other youtube BF narration channels, till stumbling across you (name?) tonight while Im doodling enjoying your own narration. Thanks for doing this for us. Good Job whatever your called (?) Regards Axel T in southern UK...no such luck with cryptids over here, but we`re a tiny island. Im ex forces amputee with ptsd, I dont go out except walking my dog `crash` a neopolitan working mastiff. I dont have a TV and dont listen to radio often, so my time is occupied on YT, Netflix and thats it. So, thank you again.

Hi Axel, just thought I'd update you. You say you live in southern UK? I live in the West Midlands & I'm an avid BF tales follower. My beloved Son, did three stints over in Iraq & he's been left half crippled with his legs & back. Much worse for him is the severe PTSD he suffers with, so I very much appreciate what you go through. As you can probably attest to yourself, there's no real help either medically or physically available. I'm afraid our country has always had a history of sending our beautiful boys & girls out to fight, but not so quick to help with all the after effects!!!
However, I note you state that we have no cryptids in our small country, & I thought you might like to look up on line, all about our very own history with the various forms of 'high strangeness' in fact, if you look it up about all the "goings on" in Cannock Chase, which is very close to where I live. There is also our own "Grassman" in the Wold area. Also, there's lots of the like going on in the Scottish Highlands & much closer to you, on Exmoore & Bodmin. I thought you might be interested to check this out.
I wish you better health in the future Axel, & big hugs. xx

To all the listeners commenting about their own childhood memories and then apologizing about the length of the story. Don't be sorry for writing your memories because I love reading about them as it brings back memories of my own life. If someone doesn't like the length of the comments they don't have to read them. So thanks for the stories and sharing your great memories of days gone by to fast.

The story about the fireworks, Ronnie, and Vietnam broke my heart. I, too, turned 18 in 1972, and so was spared conscription. But I lived every moment of that summers memory, as though I were there. What a cruel Uncle you guys endured.

  • @donc9751
    @donc9751 4 роки тому +17

Nance, I sure love all of these encounter stories, but it is your voice and the way you tell them that truly puts the magic into them for me!
The second story took me on a magic carpet ride back to the days of my youth, a good part of which was spent in the South, the last 5 years of my dads Army career from which he retired in 1975, were spent at Ft. Hood Texas and we did all those same things but with my parents friends rather than family as we were 2000 miles from our home in Oregon, but we returned in 75 when I was 18 and then it was family reunion time with all our family. It just brought back so many wonderful memories of loved ones, many of which are now gone. It seems everyone has an "Uncle Vernon" in their family circle somewhere. But I am glad his dad and brother gave his uncle Vernon a proper education over that letter. What a rotten human he must have been. Oh well, I was 15 in 72. In 1976 shortly after returning home to Oregon, our family or part of it even had it's own little bigfoot encounter, at least all of us present including non family members hiking the same area on the trail that day that heard what we heard all knew and agreed it could have been nothing other or big enough to be capable of being loud enough to be felt in our bones, and fearsome enough to send us all back where we came from at the speed of flight!
To this day, 44 years later, when my 2 male cousins, my brother and 2 sisters are together at family events, I, being the oldest, at some point I will look at them and ask, do you remember that time camping......and that's about as far as I get before their eyes get huge and they all together say Oh my GOD are you kidding me! We never forgot, yet we didnt even see it, thank God! My mom always said she smelled a horrible smell too as she, and my uncle who was my cousins dad were our adult leaders that day, I was 19 then. I'm sorry for such a long winded comment Nance! But I'm still basking in the glow of the fond memories that your telling of that event brought me on, and I noticed I am not alone here. Thank you Nance!

My in-laws lived in PA. We were visiting them in April, 1996. It was my first time meeting them. They were lovely people. My father-in-law had a great sense of humor. The week we were there the weather changed. Rain, wind, snow, ice, humid. He said "If you don't like the weather just was 15 minutes." That was so true. I miss my in-laws.

I love listening to you as you read these stories. What is shared helps so much, especially what to do or what to be aware of when coming across these beings. There may be some near where I live that come and go through the year. I haven't seen them, but people I know have seen them and heard their growls. I have possibly smelled them, writing it off as skunk's spray in the area, but also many times having the feeling of dread/fear.

Hi Tammy, Nance explained in a couple of recent videos that she is experimenting with providing these longer marathon videos, without her commentary interaction for those of us, myself included, that enjoy listening at bedtime before falling off to sleep.
She is still going to be putting out her regular format videos with her comments and interactions as well.
I hope that helps, I too love the interaction with her through her comments in her videos, but for these marathons which are made up mostly of accounts from previously ran videos by her so no need to worry.

I have family in Southeastern Ohio and I remember asking about the Ohio Grassman once. They looked at me like I was out of my mind. My uncle said he had never heard of such thing but a woman had reported an encounter with the Grassman just five miles from where he lives. Also, one of my cousins claimed to have seen something big cross the interstate on a return trip from Parkersburg, WV and it moved on two legs. This was just north of Marietta, Ohio. I remember one summer when I stayed with family that the summer was really hot.

I hadnt heard the first one - thank you! And good old uncle vermin! I forget if he got beaten within an inch of his life by the narraters father and another uncle or if they just pummelled him. I d like it to be the 1st option. Even after his son was killed he still used him to get to the others. Jesus Christ I think Vermin deserves his own Nuremburg type trial and a short rope. I cant or wont forgive people on this level of depravity. I'm not a good person - with regards to people like that. In 3 bigfoot was probably thinking, look at the twit in the Prius.

We lived in the Sugar Creek area of Ohio. Locals will recognize Ragersville. One account here told of bears in Ohio. My father saw a bear on the hill behind our house only a few hundred yards from a well traveled road. We found bear tracks in the woods along the pond several times. Don't discount accounts just because you haven't seen them -- either bears or bigfoot.

It sounds like your parents & my parents were cut from the same cloth!!!! Ironically enough, I made myself pretty much the same promises…1. Don’t be anything like my parents as people and/or parents 2. I will not relive my childhood as an adult because as an adult I can & will create the life I want!!! I too have broken both cycles and my son has also confirmed it for me many times throughout his 28 years. Great recount btw.
