The aerated upflow without the bubble coverage is pretty trick. I wonder how is performs in winter or if you would still want to drop a stone in there. Personally i like water gardens more than fish ponds but i can appreciate what went into this
I got 2 questions with this setup. 1 - How long can you go on vacation before you feel like you need to be home to empty things out from the filtration system? 2 - How do you measure your airlift volume?
airlift volume is measured the same as any other pond, you still have 3 in or 4in bottom drains so water is still being pulled though the pipes, airlift is just replacing motors and pumps that have to pull the water up, i have been gone weeks before, if you aren't putting food in it then the filters aren't getting very dirty
No garden plants,no water plants...a box of cement with water. Plus, its not even crystal clear. Funny that everybody has some mega idea to filter building...but if the water isnt air clear?..
clearly you know nothing about ponds and you’re focus is on water gardens and grandmas tea, as of looking at clear water I can see clearly all the bottom drains at 7 feet deep yard monkey and see every bit of the 100k plus in koi in the water. if you knew anything about top koi you would understand it but clearly the system surpasses you
I maintained a 100,000 gallon pond in natural sciences for a museum. Look, that water is nice..but its not crystal clear. Its good quality..but not great. That pond is 7' deep?..wow you fooled me. It looks about 3 max.
Its not as bad as I remembered. Still,if your going to post Roy? Try a sunny day and less oblique angles. I've moderated on above ground angular pools for Koi. I guess I can live without a lantern and Maples.
you will have to get a hold of kent wallence who owns nevada living water solutions here in las vegas, he built me the pond, the guy that is explaing it
That is the most complicated shit I've ever seen.....and yes that water is definitely not at 100 percent but I don't know how long it has had to mature so I'm sure that filter system works beautifully.....but that's way over complicated for no reason
It’s actually very easy if you don’t have shit for brains, let me ask a question, what set up would you rather have for 16,500 gallons ? What don’t you understand, the prefilter, the sand filter, the bio filters ?
At that size the pond should be doing most of the work, if it wasn't a plain cement box and had some plants and rocks at the least, maybe some other beneficial fish to help break down the koi waste you would need half the shit he has for this system. Your trying to build an ecosystem, that is the idea anyway. Just saying I live in South East Arizona, hot as fuck, windy, dirty air, and I've built multiple ponds, I believe the largest was around 11000 gallons with depths of 6 feet. Ive never even thought of building something with so much to go wrong. And my water is on point, healthy fish, healthy plants, healthy ECOSYSTEM
Not saying if you don't have the money to build something like this that it's a bad idea....just saying nature does a way better job pretty much for free
@@chadroy1653 damn bro your so angry it's not my fault you didn't read...I said MOST of the work to keep the water clean....not all the work of course you need something but you can get the same effect from something smaller and less complicated, get mad at me man it's cool lol but I'll upload some pictures......I do agree about keeping the koi safe from damage tho that makes sense when you have such expensive fish. Don't be so angry man.....weather you like it or not my balance works perfectly with a simple box filter system
Man, you have created an awesome setup very impressive
Wow what an informative video my friend. I really enjoyed it. A beautiful pond as well.
Can't beat a good Advantage bead filter.
What maintenance it runs it self

Amazing!!! This guy is a genius, a Walter White from Breaking Bad. What a fantastic setup
Thank you very much
Detailed, but for a newbie I understood 10% of it.
what a insane setup, wish i had the skills to make something similar
@Felicita Niewiadomski omg it works, thanks
I hope to see some people in the pond!!!
With snorkeling footage.. 👍😁🎈
Pristine water... Cheers! 🍻
Very nice very well calculated. Impressive.
Insane...love it...if I had a koi pond like this,I could die a happy man. This is a dream build. 🙏🤘
Thank you, it was my dream pond, I hope I never have to build another one lol
Did a great great job man...abouslty came out perfect. Keep the vids coming. Love the insight and story behind the old pond, new pond, fish move etc.
very sophisticate filtration system and saves on power via airpumps
How can I win a lottery to have a koi pond as beautiful as this? he he
Beautiful pond

What the heck. Wow. He knows his stuff.
Would of been easier to chuck a couple of nexus 320s and a bead on it
I don’t mean to be cheeky as this is like a dream pond but how much ballpark does something like this cost
where can i get 1 of them circular wiers from that would be perfect for a skimmer
I got mine from Pinch a Penny pool supply.
Beautiful

Is that noise from your setup?
Kolame apik ning banyune ijo...
Filter e ribet ya bro?
Iyo seperti nggak fungsi filter se canggih itu..mending nggonku modal chamber seki semen banyune bening kuras 6 bulan skali. Buening pisan..
you could also have made a wetland filter, that way you have something about it, like plants :) you need plants to absorb harmful things
No a wetland filter doesn't work for high quality koi, the filter needs to be cleaned once a week a wetland would be a pain to clean.
@@Davidj3 a wetland cleans itself hehe
@@noyezz3690 no it doensnt i do pond maintenance in southern California and all waste is still there.
Do you by any chance sell the design so that i can make one for my pond which hold 40000 gallons of water

Will Kent come to Az for a design build?
Ofcourse, if you are a serious guy that really wants to build one he will come out
I like it, learned something here , thanks
Increíble! great job 👌, I wish I was rich to do the same. Lol
this probably cost 40-50k
Slang'n that Ink pays those bills...🤣👍🐡 Hard work pays off #GRIND
Aweeome system
Better keep the big birds out or they will eat your fish in no time.
no I'm good I'm covered and no words here couple pellet shots keeps them out, this is already a year old
