How the bookBot Works || NC State University Libraries

What is the bookBot? And how does it work? Is the bookBot a roaming robot that delivers books to people? Not exactly. The bookBot in NC State University's Hunt Library does not find and deliver books to patrons. Rather, it is a retrieval system for books stored in warehouse-syle bins organized by size. When a Libraries patron requests a book from the catalog that is stored in the bookBot, the bookBot retrieves the storage bin and delivers it to staff who find the correct book and route it to the patron's pick up location. #ncstate
