This girl has an amazing voice, and to be honest, it wouldnt matter what language she was singing in, it would still be amazing.

I know what you mean about singers trying to imitate the original singer of the song. Its like cookie cutter music. What i really like is when the singer that is covering a hit song makes it their own. I, myself, cant sing to save my life. I sound like a bunch of animals being strangled.....its actually quite humorous. Lol

Oh WOW! She has such a strong and soulful voice! I was not expecting that to come out of her at all! She did an awesome job singing the lyrics in English, too.

WoW! That Chinese girl is AMAZING! Her voice is very DYNAMIC! Her English is good too! The Chinese female JUDGE has a poor ear, but is very beautiful! We do NOT say this to many Chinese female singers cause many of them sound the same! Even a good number of men sing the SAME TENDOR voice! This Chinese girl can beat MOST men and female by a long shot! Good job girl , come back! U.S.A.

@@AceDesu I just played Adele's original and the diction in parts of her performance are not perfect either. Maybe Chinese people entering these sorts of shows should get a better understanding of the lyrics so they can show it in their movements and gestures. Jane Zhang is a good model for that.

@@AceDesu it's not that you have no accent. It's that you have a mix of few different accents. Everyone has an accent, including Adele. There's nothing wrong with having an accent if it doesn't affect communication. Some people like Adele's accent and some don't.

She did a great job for a non-English speaker! I think very few people in the world can sing in a language other than their own! The few that can are lucky. She sang barefoot. Was that easier for her? The judge seemed to like the idea and sang with her barefoot as well. I hope she went on to success from here!

She ran out of breath near the end. English pronunciation wasn't bad for someone who isn't a native speaker. In fact, pretty decent.

Oh my god, guys. I read the comments first and expected to not be able to understand her at all, but I've come to the conclusion there's a lot of racists who watched this. Do you guys not realize how many native English speakers have songs that are all but incomprehensible? As someone who grew up in theater, where clarity of words is very important (there's an exercise we do where we stand on opposite sides of a soccer field and talk to each other), while this girl had some off-key moments, her pronunciation and diction were perfectly understandable.
It's better than some native English speakers who are famous vocalists, and considering that you learn how to pronounce your native language and sort of "lock in" those certain phonemes, singing in English as a Chinese speaker (two very different languages, sound-wise) is impressive.
How many of you native English speakers can even roll your Rs like Spanish speakers? And that's a fairly simple change in sound.
***** That's great! I only know a little bit of Spanish (Lo siento, pero hablo Español muy poco.), and no other languages. I think native English speakers tend to be a bit arrogant on that front. They can get away with being monolingual. I'm impressed that you're learning so many. :)

Her voice was quavering a lot, but to be fair, it's the best jazz cover I've ever heard from any asian. Better than I could do anyway.

Inkan Fung I agree, it was nerves, she had her notes and a very good voice, I think with practice she would do better (some of the breathing was off since some of her high notes she couldn't do) but she will get better

So far, the oldest one is 60 and the youngest one is 16. But I think anyone can apply for the show as long as you can sing without any age limit

That's exactly what the male judge asked her at 3:36! Haha! The girl's reply was, "I feel comfortable like this. I want to feel like i am standing on my house floor". And that's when the female judge wanted to experience it for herself, so she went up on stage and sang with her shoes off xD
