Audrey! I just watched Farm Girl Dry Goods for the first time…….I’m exhausted! I now know a bit about raising goats, a bit about wool appliqué and a lot about crossstitch projects. I love seeing the kits she carries. Thanks for the shoutout that sent me there. Carol in Texas
Hi Audrey. Saw your recent Flosstube & now catching up on your catalog. You have beautiful stitching and I can’t wait to hear more about your son’s XS adventures. I got the biggest chuckle from your Seinfeld Spectacular reference. Mid 40’s stitcher here enjoying your humor & your projects.
I'm glad one other person (Laura texted me about it when she was watching!) got the Seinfeld reference! 😂 Thank you for watching and you're welcome/I'm sorry for enabling more purchases! 😉 Hope you love the scarf and the book! Thanks for watching!
The happiest of birthday wishes Audrey 🎉 I love to stitch monochromatic pieces. I completed several this year. I don't recall doing but a very few over the last 50 years! But I also love a little pop of color in them. I have a Halloween mermaid I'm doing in a limited color palette but using some variegated. Thats the other "new" thing I done over the past year. Its fun to experiment. I am an old (literally) Aida stitcher but I do intent to try some Mirabilia mermaids. For some unknown reason, they always intimidated me. I am LOVING all your sampler stitches and the 1003's. I tried silks this year for the first time, absolutely lovely to handle! I'd like to try some higher counts though. I just find them a pricey investment, being on a limited income. I do love dying my fabrics though, especially the opalescent❤ BTW, 1003's are awesome to stitch with.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Yes, the Mirabilia mermaids are gorgeous! Check out The Hygge Stitcher's channel -- she stitches a lot of Mirabilia and Nora Corbett designs. If you would like to try a high thread count linen with 100.3s, there are several designs that are either monochromatic or require very few colors. Eliz. Fitch by HATS requires fewer than ten colors and the chart includes options to stitch the verse either over one or over two (for ease of stitching!) and it's a small size so wouldn't require a large piece of fabric. Have fun continuing to experiment!
Happy Birthday! I enjoy the natural flow of your stories. Interesting that on my flosstube I actually thanked Kim for giving us permission to change things up even though the original pattern is awesome. I do see your point but am glad that I can make things my own without guilt.
Kim is definitely gifted in her ability to change things up and stitch things that work for her and I love the collection that I see in her videos! My problem is I want to stitch just everything and I have a hard time picking and choosing! Good for you for being selective! Thank you for watching!
Happiest of birthdays to you!! Wonderful to see all of your goodies and to know your husband and Laura work together so well! We all need a friend like that for our husbands! What is Maurice stitching? Hope to see a bit of his work too. See you after the retreat!
Thank you so much! Yes, my new Stitchfolk bag was a wonderful surprise and I'm thankful Ryan and Laura worked together to come up with such a cool idea. Maurice is still working on a small by Primrose Cottage Stitches and a small turtle by Mill Hill. Hopefully we'll have some progress of his to show soon! Thanks for watching and happy stitching!
Audrey, I wouldn't frog the rabbit, just back stitch it. I am always interested to see people who stitch in the hole when using a hoop. I was taught to use fabric side up so am always interested to know why others choose to stitch (upside down ; ) Did your mom show you that way?
Mom actually never taught me to use a hoop, I had to figure it out myself! I started stitching in the well because the rectangular hoop (shown in the video) had a rough patch on the outer bit so I wanted that on the underside and away from the top of my stitches. It looked weird at first but now I think the other way looks weird! It has also made it easier for me to secure stitches on the back of the fabric. 😊
Another wonderful video so full of excitement and beautiful things!!!!!! Fabulous dahling!
You are definitely to thank for some of the things I showed!!! Good influence or bad? Haha 😘
Happy birthday! Funny, energetic video, as usually. Enjoyed them all. Happy stitching!
Thank you so much! Happy stitching to you as well! 😊
Happy Birthday! I enjoy watching your flosstubes!

That's great, Carol! She does cover it all, doesn't she!? Hope you found some inspiration. Thanks for watching! 😊
Happy birthday. That Laura has performed unknown behind the scenes miracles. That qualifies for sainthood.
Saint Laura...I need to incorporate that into a design or something! 😂
