The roaring lion. RIEP Eddie
I try SO HARD to communicate to many young Artists, the Lived it, Real, Soul, Uninhibited, from the gut singing and accompaniment required to consider Music elite.
Musicians and Bands with Brecon Indie Review a simply deliver, this old school foundation, not needing a bunch of back BS, purchased and on produced as confetti mix, often ruining great lyrics and Vocalists.
Those who roll these Oschool guides, well, I accept into the Program.
This 50 year OJays Anniversary Skylark Cover, is a perfect example of the FOUNDATION upon which my expectations stand.
They are uninhibited and make it their own, while soulfully in a get it manner, deliver from the gut, in every aspect of the performance. Simply WORTHY!

The original version is by lead singer Donny Gerrard of the group SKYLARK. They had an international hit in 1973 with this song, "Wildflower."
@@mahagonyisrael4390 Respectfully disagree. The Skylark version was not only the original, but also the best version ever. While I will fully acknowledge that not all original versions are necessarily the best versions, in this case Skylark captured the true essence of the true feel of this song. While New Birth, might arguably (in your opinion) have better vocal harmonies, the true talent in music is FEEL and Skylark outstrips any of the other artists, in this regard. This, apart from the music itself being composed and arranged by none other than the hitman himself.....David Foster, who at the time was also part of the band SKYLARK, who were truly a one-hit wonder - emphasis on "wonder" not "one-hit", clearly places their version above the rest.

I like the New Birth version the best... still love the OJays tho Lol
