Bravo , Merci 🙏🏼
Perfect presentation for a quiet household at 2:00 A.m. Thank you.
2:20am here in England as I listen to this with my family and formerly feral cat...
I can't even count how many times I've listened to this rendition - the best EVER! Just the amount of different and unique registrations fills each piece with colours that the piano version just cannot provide!
@@SimonSimon-rn3tm no need to be bitter my friend, music is all about new perspectives and this is most certainly a new perspective. Pieces change hands from piano too ryan to orchestra frequently and in truth, it’s not about what the composer wants but rather what we seek in our musical journey to share with others.
This man has played really quite excellently and if he managed to get even one person to enjoy his performance, he succeeded.
Bravo Ulf!
I agree, this rendition is pretty nice, however, the tempo in some parts is dreadfull in my oppinion
My goodness I got some body shaking goosebumps from 21:17- 22:11. That was probably the most intense goosebumps I’ve ever experienced from music.
❤!
I’ve never heard an Allen sound that good in my life.
I guess Ravel really just sounds great on anything. That’s what I call well-crafted music.
Ryan Giraldi hey! It’s a hybrid organ with 58 pipe-stops of really good quality build by Swedish organ builder Grönlund with many pipes from older organs. Together with 99+11 Allen stops and 13 Genesys-stops and an Allen Vista navigator it makes one of the most beautiful organs in the world. The sound is truly magnificent.
ulfnorberg Well, your incredible playing certainly reflects that idea :) One of these days I will have to come down and visit...
My god this is incredible. Will be returning to this video many times...
Ravel on the organ sounds like Duruflé. Lovely.
What a joy!
Bravissimo! ❤️
The Fugue is lovely on an organ, well played!
Incredible.
Great!
👍🏽
Toda ésta obra parece escrita para un cuento fantástico si fuera una película ,gracias.
Fantastic!
Why is organ so damn beautiful
Excellent registrations. Thanks for not making the organ Diapason heavy. Some beautiful sounds.
One of my favourite piano pieces, it is so pianistic, I never thought of trying it on the organ. -You may want to turn your bass DOWN, the pedals are very heavy on my computer; usually I can't get enough bass in organ music, but this organ has huge pedal stops! And the recording captures them very well indeed.
It transfers just beautifully; the Prélude flows so smoothly on the organ, at prestissimo tempo yet, you'd think it was written for it! And those rich, close chords in the Forlane...mmm! The Rigaudon is authoritative-Ravel was writing for the organ whether he knew it or not-although I thought the trio a bit slow & heavy...Menuet just fine, full swell for the trio again a bit heavy but I loved the rich reedy sound! The echo effect in the da capo was interesting, I liked it. Toccata-Wow! A different piece. Ulberg brings out melodic lines you just don't hear on the piano-that's one of the thinks the organ is so good at. The middle section is positiv -ly threatening! I turned the volume up, never mind the neighbours, it just blew me away! Those stompin' pedal notes (clusters?) This gets two thumbs up from me.
Sounds like Durufle
Wow, toccata sounds incredible on the organ.
Quite lovely. Thanks for this!
Magnifique registration! Une transcription de haut calibre! Bravo et merci!
Brillant!
Grandios...
Hey that’s pretty good!!
do you know who transcribed this beauty?
Bravo~ What a refreshing playing~! Try Pictures at an exhibition next~~:)
Magnifique ! C'est dommage que la prise de son soit si lointaine.
If only there be a way to sharpen the resolution (staccato ability) of organs
Too many advertisings in your video
8:07 this is just crazy
Ulf kind of looks like he could be Darren Criss from this angle
Ravel had a well known dislike for the organ: he would be appalled by this ludicrous nonsense!
Admirable joven. Magnífica interpretación. Aplausos y saludos desde Querétaro (México). Juve Flores.
