The shirt looks great , it shows the fish and your kayak perfectly. I just started watching 2wks ago your doing a great job , your enthusiasm is great.
Great catch. We have been killing big flathead on the great Miami. In 2 days caught 5 over 20lbs, and one 18lb. The biggest was 34. We found a great spot. They seem to be preferring white bass. We were using blue gill, shad, chubs, and white bass and most hit the bass. The big one hit a 10 inch live bass. Great catch Mike. Maybe I'll see you this weekend im taking my kayak out. Good luck!
It's not super common in our area. The looks I get when suspending 3 poles on the LMR are priceless lol. But I can't lie - I'm itching to bass fish - specifically Stripers, that might be my next target species for a few videos.
Awesome catch! I really want to try targeting catfish out of my yak, but I always worry that I’ll catch a monster like that and flip trying to get him on the boat 😂
I'm about as tiny of a yak that is safe (my opinion of course). It's the Nucanoe Flint. 11.5 feet and not much wider than my shoulders. So if you have anything bigger than that you should be okay. But again - do what you feel is safe lol. I'm catching crap for using a net - don't bother me none - I know my limits, and I enjoy stay on top of the yak haha.
@@KayakMike hit me up, if you got questions. I sent you a friend request on the book. You if you wanna drift , let me know I'm there all the time. Not smart to do it by yourself the first couple times. Its not the barges, its the party boats that get hairy
I'm doing everything in my power not too. I'm not anti-trolling motor. But I got into kayak fishing to help out with staying relatively in-shape - emphasize the word relative lol. I'll eventually have one I'm sure - but still a few years away probably. I'm still enjoying paddling.

That kitty had an attitude! I can’t run more than two lines on a small craft like that, I’m convinced that I’ll end up in a massive mess. Well done.
Nice catch. Those big flatheads are fun in a kayak. Great vid I made sure to subscribe. 🎣🎣
When it's warmer they become more fragile 👏👏🎣
Great catch 🎣🛶
All you need is that is 8 in foam rod bouwee.(spelling bad .lol) from Cabela's .
Good fish man, I love the content. Keep up the good work! 👍
Nice flatty.
ik ur little bait catching spot lol, go there to get bait sometimes
A victory cigar after landing a big fish could be your thing. I like the idea of it.
I'm not opposed - I'll probably stop and get some soon. I do love a good cigar (even a bad one lol) every now and then.
At 8:19 can u tell me where the bridge is atb in back ground.. ill fish from the bank there .. how deep is it also .. thanks
There are some pretty cool builds for kayaks. I plan to build a ascend 12 ft with my own power supply

This comment might be a little late, but, that's a great flathead for Miami Jr. .... Oh, and screw the haters. Their opinions don't mount to much.
I caught a nice blue about that size from my kayak at East Fork this morning. Pond run rd? Do you live in Clermont county?
lol that footage was from my last trip down RT52 SSHH!!! Trying to throw people off the trail of my secret bait spot! ;)
Kayak Mike haha, nice.
Is that the route 50 bridge in the background when you are reeling in your big fish?
Plead the 5th!
Lmfao
ARMLEDER ?
Second Bridge South of Otto. This is Magrish Trail. Right next to Kellogg (or 52) bridge.
@@KayakMike I drift fish for cats on the Ohio. I put in at 9 mile great time. I use a more stable kayak then yours tho.
@@xarrow81 Nice - I've been eye balling so many spots along 52. That is one of them. I look forward to hitting that up sometime.

You need to build yourself a trolling motor for your boat
