The Ultimate Fighter is a reality television show and mixed martial arts competition on FS1 aimed at finding the next great UFC fighter. Each season, competitors will be separated into two teams, each coached by great UFC fighters. Josh some guys are just great fighters and some are great fighters/mentors etc! It usually have to do with personality and life experience to be a mentor! Cody seems to just focus on fighting and nothing else so he can't translate that into coaching/mentoring because he has shitty personality!

Eddie Gordon had the most potential of all the guys in my opinion, he had done a lot in his showing against Gallichio instead of the others guys who just got dominated (Bacsynski, Hassan, Baghdad). He and Nunes should've been the only ones in consideration along with Lane who had a controversial end to his fight.
Well no, I think that it should be based on how much they showed in their respective fights. Based on Hayder's performance, he didn't show much of anything besides forward pressure, and almost all of his strikes. Gordon, on the other hand, was putting serious punches on Gallicchio and had him hurt a couple times. Joe didn't really show much either besides "heart", and as opposed to someone like Nunes, who was putting hands on Krause before getting caught by a knee, he doesn't deserve the shot.
The very fact that we didn't get to see more of what they had to offer before they were caught means that they should get another chance.
Eddie and Seth or even Nunes had the most potential for the wildcard but I understand the selection of Joe and the other guy they didn't get finished

The more and more I watch this series, the more and more I believe TJ. The Alpha Male guys see a situation and spin the story to suit them. Perfect example is Cody being all negative that Joe Daddy got the wildcard spot, when in the room with TJ he nodded his head when TJ was talking about Joe (obviously in agreement with him). The Alpha Male boys seem to do is spin a story so that they're never the bad guys....
Cody seems a lot more calm and less willing to scrap when there's no one around to hold him back.

The mood in Team Garbrandt seems so poor comparred to Team Dillashaw. All Cody does is complain, moan and get angry which is really affecting this entire team in a negative way. You can really see that Garbrandt is (with all due respect) just a fighter and that Dillashaw has it in him to coach.

I was glad to see or hear very little of Cody in this episode until the Wildcard announcement then of course, Cody has a problem with the matchup. Instead of being happy that one of his guys gets a second chance, he starts hating on TJ for DANA, repeat, DANA picking the two fighters after both coaches voiced their opinion.
No 'Congrats, Hayder', just 'Why the hell is Joe getting another shot so quick after his fight?!' Hey, if I'm Joe, I'd be thinking 'I can rest-up for the rest of my life if I don't win this show' so who'd be against anyone getting another shot when really, this IS the last shot any of these guys will get with the UFC. This show really showed TJs character to the world. He’s a smart, humble, hard working, genuinely good guy. It was obvious that he really cared about helping his guys succeed on a personal and professional level.

Jake Velasquez From what was shown he clearly oversold Joe there's no debate there, and thats just what they edited in for us to see. No one knows what else what said in there but those 3, but from what he said he made it obvious that he wanted Joe back in. Just because Cody put it in his own words doesn't make him fake. At the end of the day it all means the same thing, he marketed Joe to be this big thing with that whole redemption preface to back it, but he just got handled in the ring out there. This isn't a team thing, this is about who *actually* deserves it and who has the potential to go far in the ufc and Joe just doesn't have it. He has miles on him, he looked pretty slow in there and I think he's like 40 years old already. All he did was take someone else's slot and thats what pissed Cody off.

Cody didn't have to sell any of his fighters, he told Dana who deserved it and that's that. TJ made a selfish move by picking his own fighter over a more deserving one. It wasn't supposed to be a team thing but he clearly made it that. Now he's risking Joe's health all for a game of chess.
