@ Viktor, sure?, take it one more time, the cut from G4 to source at about 1:45, Then I would say in some moments this middle forward of G4 is really great, and in some moments songs is really anoing, ...there for I would vote for classics
@@janulik9535 Source material has some annoying frequencies that i can hear better on the G4 than the Classics, if you only want to listen to music go with classics, i work making music and i need my gear to show the flaws of the source material, G4 is better in this case.
If you’re making hip hop, it’s clear by the last track for how similar it sounds on both…and unless you don’t want graphic eq, KRK classic monitors are good
The G4 is better, sounds a little more voluminous and has better mids and clean highs, which roll off smoothly without dropping to hard. Metalhead and Return to the Wild are best to hear the differences, when it comes to the guitars and the voice, which are much cleaner and forward on the G4's. So in my opinion the G4 is the better balanced, better sounding pair.
I just saw the gray classics for $110 and it got me thinking...110 vs 180 bucks, worth getting the classics? I wonder if the bass on the classics is as good as on the rokits...anyone tried both in person?
Thanks for making this classic test video. The sound field of G4 is wider and the treble is more prominent. Class5 is more like a wooden speaker. Although the treble and bass are not very obvious, the sound is very balanced. The price difference between the two is that the G4 has an extra screen, visual EQ adjustment, and a simpler appearance, making it more suitable for music producers. Class5 is suitable for recreational players and entry-level players, and does not require precise sound tuning. The price/performance ratio of class5 is better.
Strange. For all monitors, the graph drops from low to high, but when compared with the original, it feels like the monitors are overstating the high. Something is somehow wrong with your measuring. The first thing that caught my eye, the monitors should be an isosceles triangle, and what do you have? Anyway, thanks for the video, it's interesting.
for mixing and mastering the g4 better, its more like the original source. The classic got too much highs and stuff. So classics worse for music production but better for music litsening
@@MeerQy_Music Yes, yes, exactly... and I wonder if it actually doesn't come from AB amp. on Classic vs D amp. on G4... Thank you for your spot on comment, hey gave me the same feel when listening to both.
Is the built-in graphic EQ and app worth almost twice the price for the G4? To my ear, based on the Source track, the G4 is adding more coloring-especially in the upper mids. Are you hearing it that way, too?
Indeed the rokit 5 g4 has more mids , i have the classic 5 g3 but i am thinking to switch to g4 , i purchased g3 because of the A/B amplifier witch on paper should sound better than g4's class D amplifier but you know ,you need to have them both to find out which sounds the best
is it just me or on the song "deep" , the RP5 mix the highs and lows better but the classic has more bass? or does the classic have more bass in general? can someone help me out?
Classic sounds smoother, while the other is more hard hitting/agressive. Prefer Classic except for the metal song. But man, that yellow cone is ugly as hell. Do grills cover them up? :D Do the CLassics come with grills that cover up the yellow cones?

For any of these comparisons I also feel the metal is the most revealing of differences. Here it sounds like the G4 is closer to the source.
distorted guitars have a lot of noise in them, and therefore it's very easy to hear frequency response differences.

The classic sounds like a classic speaker defined good for classical music

For $200, that's a fucking steal. Pair these with their 8" sub, you have a great house party.
they are both great, just make sure you use a balanced TRS connection and if you are not listening to masters just go with the cheapest option.

Get them and then save for a subwoofer, your studio gonna be thumpin 😎

perhaps this has been suggested before, but it'll be awesome to see 2.1 systems revies?, small monitors with their respective subwoofers?
classic 5 for the win..its more dialed. the rokit 5 just sounds big overall

Will you test KRK Classic 7? Maybe vs the g4 rp7?

Could I request a KRK Rockit vs Edifier 1700BT? I find th edfier more balanced but the bass response with the KRK's are incredible.
edifier is garbage
Edifier speakers are not good quality soundwise in general
I like the G4 more

@DSAUDIOreview Do you know the release dates for each one ???
I would choose the Classic 5. Because it's clearly more yellow.
I like to listen to Metal and Retro Wave tracks on Rokit 5, in other cases Classic 5 is more suitable for my hearing.
Hopefully a comparison between the Rokit and V series of KRK (4th generation of both).
G4 all day long, easy choice for me.
dont blast music all day long care for your ears
Can i know which speaker brand is the best for you?
I think the Rokit 5 RP5G4 has a deeper sound.
amazing comparison. thank you
I fell exactly the difference like in the graphics 👌
RP5G4 more balanced
Krk rokit 5g3 vs krk classic 5 differences?
The rokit 5 has more bass, the classic 5 has more high frequency sounds, I'm definitely saving up for the rokit 5 I'm a rapper artist
Kali LP6 Vs Krk Rokit 5 G4 please.. I'm really confuse between these two!!
If you dont mind the hiss audible from over 1m go with Kali.
Krk classic series is a great example how to sell old stock as a new product. Btw. What an awful dip @ crossover.
The FR charts tell the story here between 1 and 5k. That explains the more forward presentation, especially on the rock track.
Hola, Bro. Estoy a punto de comprar unos krk classic 5. ¿Los recomiendas ? Me gustaría saber tu opinión
5G4 fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did the rokit 5s burn in? They sound better on the newer vids vs on the older ones
That is because of different room/acoustics in the newer videos
Can you compare between Artesia M200 VS Edifier MR4.
6020 Green Keys

More JPB
Âm thanh của 5g3 nghe sáng hơn 5g4
i feel the krk classic 5 more flat than the rokit.
KRK Classic 5 are actually an old g3 Rokit 5 rebranded. I have the original G3 Rokit 5s, and they sound just like these Classic 5s.

they not. they not as close to the source as the g4
g4 is better balance, the classic sounds like a smiley eq
classic 5 btw
both sounded the same
rokit 5 is better
they both sound crap! maybe they would sound better at lower volumes at mixing volume
You can not judge speakers through listening to them through other speakers. This is a stupid test.
they dont sound crap, maybe ur litsening torough 10 dollar speakers.
