  • In this tutorial we look at the AGM-154A JSOW, or Joint Standoff Weapon, attacking two mechanised columns with two pairs of glide bombs, released in trail. This weapon allows targeting of protected sites from outside the range of defensive weapons systems.

    Supanova - Like many I have been flying Falcon 4.0 since the beginning and even as a beta tester for the original Microprose team. Also been part of the BMS team since 2006. And I have t write that your tutorial videos are top notch and I learn from them as well. Great work and keep it up!

    Really nice video... didn't really know the JSOW capabilities until after watching this. Thank you

    I bet this process is much simpler on an F-35 with the touch screens. It’s crazy you have to do all of this while watching out for enemy SAMS and aircraft. Amazing video! This was a great step by step tutorial. The JSOW is an amazing weapon.

      If you play the campaign you only get a limited supply of them and you know why.

    When we launch 2 💣 together we know that the “space impact” is the distance between 2 JSOW 💣 considering the SPI at the center right?
    But these 💣 do not fall whole to the ground (such as JDAM), but open in the air in clusters. Therefore the “space impact” is calculated from the center of 1st 💣💣💣 💣 to the center of 2nd or simply the distance between 2 JSOW 💣 in the air?
    I hope it is clear I,m 🇮🇹🙏👍

    To estimate the attack azimuth we do : 295+25 ?

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  5 років тому +1

      You're estimating attack azimuth based on target position relative to your heading.

    Do you have to set a mark tgt? Can't you just lock the tgt on fcr?

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  7 років тому

      You have to set the coordinates.

    • @PeteV80
      @PeteV80 7 років тому

      Are you sure? I just tried again and it works fine firing them off with a lock on FCR. Can't be a GMT because it just goes to the coords from lock-up, but for GM it's fine to just lock in FCR and fire.

      I would have to test it to know for sure either way. But it's good to hear that you got it working.

      Hi All!!! Thanks @supernova for your tutorials... AFAIK the JSOW (as all the IAM munitions) will impact on the coordinates the cursor of the SOI is pointing at during release: it doesn't need a lock, but I would like a confirm for more expert players.

      +supanova i have another question, sometime the jet refuses to drop a bomb, why ??

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  8 років тому

      +amer odeh You might not have set master arm to arm, or you may not be holding the weapon release button down for long enough. As long as you follow all of the required steps the weapons should release.

    writing attack azimuth always 270 wont cause problem at least for me i dont understand clearly how to calculate attack azimuth english is not very well

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  8 років тому

      You can calculate the attack azimuth for the second column using the same method as was used for the first column. You look at your current heading and use that to define the angle required for the second column.
