I have the same kx40 and brand new VCM cutter, when my cutter is spooled up all the way with no load in it basically not cutting or using any other function it vibrates the cab substantially, does that happen to you? I’m wondering if the cutter could be out of balance?

Looks like you’ve had this mower for about a year. Are you still happy with it? How does it handle blackberries?

Idk about the blackberries, but I’ve beat the absolute crap out of this mower and it just keeps going. I would definitely recommend vmc equipment

Great video - does it ever feel tippy with the boom extended out mowing these pond banks like that?
Do you feel the KX 040-4 can sufficiently run that attachment? Or do you feel it lacking and sometimes with for the 57?
i'm in-between machines and curious on your perspective

It’s pretty stable as long as you keep your movements smooth. The 040 does fine but I’d rather have the 57. I only got the 040 cause I can haul it in my dump trailer when I need to. It has plenty of power to run the cutter, it would be nice to have just a little bit more reach though. There’s a lot of situations where I’m just about a foot short on being able to reach something, the 57 would fill that gap

Trying to find a solution to cutting 1/2 mile of road side ditch monthly. Guys doing it with string trimmers and takes 25 man hours and they hate it and dirty gross work someone and one day someone will get hurt, slipping or back injury. Trying to find solutions with mini ex that can reach 9', cut grass while tracking even if very slow and not be too tippy. Any tips? Dont mind spending money to solve a problem, and will find other work, just not sure what makes sense. Nice equip and music. cheers, from Canada.

@@ghostflight73 I think a vmc cutter on a mini would serve you well. My driveway is 1/2 mile long and it take me about 1.5 hours to mow both sides of the driveway with this setup. I have some videos on here mowing my driveway/ditches while tracking
