    It is said that chess is the game of life because every decision you make can impact the rest of your game. It teaches you that one bad move can ruin your entire game or make it hard to recover so you must make the right move from the start. It also teaches not to let your emotions guide your actions, and to make sacrifices.

    Damn Gu dropped a gem just then “ Chess is a game of strategy, not life” I think his explanation was valid, but I also think that are some lessons that you can extract from it as you can anything in life. Every person has a different perspective on life. Some are great strategists, some are great in the moment. It all depends that individuals outlook.

    • @dfree1442
      @dfree1442 2 роки тому +8

Some of the most strategic boxers were knocked out because of a punch they didn’t see coming. Chess is absolutely a game of life and strategy. Everything guru says is true . Players develop the same resources but what is unique as how you develop your pieces . Chess teaches you how to achieve goals . Chess teaches you to identify assets to achieve your goals ( pieces that are in position to help you ) and identify obstacles to that goal ( opposing players pieces that threaten you and /or protect there king . ) it don’t matter if you promoted a pawn to queen of your king gets matted . It doesn’t matter if you lose your queen if you get mate . Strategy is a huge part of a successful life . Good lesson Guru

      @KGdakid47 2 роки тому

      @@genius179 it’s not my comment but I agree guru is wrong about chess also. The pieces aren’t people that you direct it’s all you and the recourses you have at your disposal to level up. Of course people don’t have the same resources but we all have the ability to reach the same heights “equality of opportunity” jay-z started broke and used his “strategy” to become a billionaire while trust fund babies never accomplished anything. Also just cause you can see what pieces are moving doesn’t mean you can’t fall into the trap they are laying for you kinda like Covid lock downs but people that weren’t in corporate America didn’t have to comply with taking vaccines etc because they set themselves several moves ago

    There’s chess, there’s checkers, & there’s monopoly… Life is really monopoly. And in MY EYES the real winner is THE GREEK!!! he wins no matter who LOSES in the hood. He’s monopoly. But yes SLIM in the end became a KING

    Guru asked..."what happens when this piece is in love with a chick from the other side?" In other words what happened when Jay was in love with Carmen? A battle between him and Nas broke out. Lol. Also after Marlo killed Prop Joe he offered Slim Charles the top spot. Slim said..."meaning no disrespect, I ain't made to be no ceo." Slim ducked the leadership role and play his position carefully. Then Marlo said that famous line and left..."the price of the brick is going up." Lol
