There's a lot of talented gifted singers in the Philippines, it's just a land of singers.... The amount of talent there is mind boggling and they don't get enough credit specially from the "WEST" ( USA ) . A lot of the singers in the Philippines such as Morissette will be in the level of such Legends like Dion, Huston, Carey, Aguilera, Grande and etc. I guess it's just the way it is, credit is not given when is due ( FACT ).

Nope we love listening to music. If we have a family gatherings, like birthdays, reunion, wedding, party etc we always have the karaoke as our form of entertainment, we do it if we feel like singing that is why even kids love it and they tried to emitate it, so as a result it became our hobbies and that's how we Filipinos mostly can sing.

In the Philippines, in school, we have a subject called Music. In this subject, we are taught how to sing, recite poems and dance from 5 years old to 16 years old. From pre kinder till you graduate high school. We also have a subject PE (physical education) we are taught gardening, cooking, dancing and arts; the students can also choose if you want to learn to play the guitar, piano, violin, drum, majorette in a parade or folk dances like filipino dance, hawaiian, tahitian or ballet, depending on the students' interest. I think that is how we become best of what you see because we are trained from childhood to adulthood. Every year students have to perform dancing and singing, play piano or any instrument to showcase what they learned yearly. These was during my generation.
When were babies, our mothers would always sing lullaby that's why. We got high notes when our mother would yell to our father for coming home drunk, so we learned the high notes 🤣

Singing class what? Most of the professional singers in PH did not have formal training. Including these two. We only know Karaoke and that's it. By the way. DARREN WON SEVEN AWARDS IN THIS VERY NIGHT. AND THIS PERFORMANCE IS IMPROMPTU. No band rehearsal at all. Darren also is the youngest Filipino artist at the age of 14 to hold concert at Mall of Asia Arena, one of the largest concert hall in the PH. So he is already big 15yrs old) by this time.
