The more I watch and think about this MV, the more emotional I get about ITZY and the hate they had to deal with through the years, whether from the outside or from self doubt. What a beautiful way to illustrate falling down, getting back up, and running because you believe in and love yourself.
this is itzy's feel special. by that i mean definitely a self comfort and empowerment song for the members after dealing with so much hate and internal struggle, and a light of hope at the end. the tunnel scene at the end made me so emotional, they've made it out of the tunnel and into a new chapter. i love these girls :')
I see where you're coming from and both, agree and disagree at the same time. I feel _Feel Special_ and _Bet On Me_ are two sides of the same coin but give different yet equally important messages. _Feel Special_ is about recognising that we are not alone and overcoming the tough times together. Meanwhile, _Bet On Me_ is about how we can be our worst critics and the importance of having faith/confidence in ourselves in order to overcome that self-doubt. Or in terms of values, _Feel Special_ is about the power of friendship/family while _Bet On Me_ is about the importance of self-love.
This whole MV along with the message and context behind it of what they’ve been through recently just makes me so emotional. Like I actually shed a tear 😭
Lia opening the box with a doll-innocent and hurt/broken version of herself really did it for me. She’s been through so much. I know they all did, but Lia has had so many unfortunate things said about her that were unfair, so I really felt that - an innocent kid who’s deeply hurt but ready to release her stronger happier self.
If you didn’t know they’re running away from their hate train the train is full of sneakers era posters which is the era everyone turned on them and started hating them yeji is helping them cope over their difficulties out of the tunnel into a new era
Its all era posters. Not sneakers and they wouldn't run away from that since it was the most successful song since dalla dalla, it out charted Wannabe. You see only what you want to see EVERY era Yuna was in the train. She is trapped inside her own head thinking how she can be better than what she has already done. She feels she has to reach a new peak everytime out. It's nothing to do with Hate OR sneakers. It's self image. You missed that one completely.
i havent started the video yet but i just watched the mv and cried like a baby. it wasnt what i was expecting at all but knowing how things have been for itzy, this song feels so personal and meaningful for them and i just love it so much
The hate train they went through and the light at the end of the tunnel. Yeji leading them and each member overcoming their hurdles. The shot of Yuna over her sneakers era photo broke my heart. 😭
@@jeffdgl15 Oh ok gotcha, I never knew what people's deal was, I liked sneakers just fine, maybe not the best over but certainly not deserving of all the hate from those "loyal fans" either.
5:28 i cried throughout the entire mv, but what touched me the most was when Yuna is on the train and her pics from Sneakers and Cheshire era appear. those were the eras where they received massive hatred and harsh criticism, especially directed towards her. it broke me into pieces.💔
i dont think itzy realize the impact that they bring to other people through the message & lyrics of their song. i dont think they realize how many hearts they have touched & how many lives they have saved. literal angels they deserve the world🥀🥀🥀🥀
JYP finally listening to Leader/Yeji! Time for ITZY to move on from those early days to a new era of maturity and some risk in their music and look! This song is SO good and one of my personal favorites! The MV is very telling and I absolutely LOVED it! We know ITZY comebacks are usually accompanied by hard hitting beats and intricate choreo but this was a very nice touch for a pre release! Let's not get it twisted though, expect ITZY to come hard with their next MV releases!
the girls joined each other (when they were running) in order of how they joined ITZY 1. yeji 2. chaer 3.ryujin 4. lia 5. yuna this is making me so emotional
This is probably their most authentic and vulnerable track after going through a lot of self doubt last year bc of the unwarranted online hate to their comebacks. I'm glad they've overcome that doubt and realized it doesn't matter, they just gotta believe in themselves regardless if they will fail or succeed.
The meaning behind this song and how the lyrics was written by jyp based on his conversation with itzy hits me hard, the girls have been through so much last year. The way the train could symbolize the hate train itzy had and yuna being on that train with the sneakers ans cheshire photos of her at the back. Lia looking like she's in a room but it's actually the box that she was trying to open, the phrase 'to put someone in a box' means to judge an individual broadly and unfairly based on very few factors and knowing that Lia has been the target of this for a long time now hurts me. The song just deeply resonates with us midzys who have stayed throughout those eras that the kpop community threw hateful comments just because of a song they didn't like. I really love how personal this song is and how it felt like they put their feelings in their singing. The song also has the message of choosing yourself which is still in line with their concept of loving yourself since their debut and it amazes me how they explore the concept of self love.
THEY KILLED DOUBTS THIS COMEBACK!!!! YES ITS EVERYTHING WE HOPED AND WISHED FOR! RYUJIN & YUNA power rap! Lia high notes and most line! Chaeryeong shining! Yeji being the leader and powering up everyone! AMAZING LYRICS!!! they came trough! Fantastic rhythm! lovely vocals! Great message! BEST GIRLS!
So happy I found this channel through ITZY. Just subbed and will now binge watch your other ITZY reactions. Thank you for the lovely comments about the song and the girls.
Been a midzy since their debut and this song has a lot of meaning! Written by JYP and the lyrics relates to JYP conversations he had with the itzy members! Yeji is running to the shining light and running away from the negativity
i find yeji running throughout the mv is the most heart breaking one bcs shes the leader after all. she literally gotta keep running the group and not letting those who try to rip itzy apart get into her head even tho it hurt her just as bad as its to the members😞😞
first listen i was like meh, but then i listened a second time and then another and another, its one of those that just get better and more catchy with every listen, im hype for the comeback now
Thanks for the review. Very glad that ITZY is like buy fans around the world. This song is really good. And the MV is so touching. Yes I wanna cry watching this, especially as a MIDZY. So ITZY IS BACK!
i love the train scene at the same time, breaks my heart for them. It's like a hate train and yuna feels scared but chaeryeong took her hand to run with her, to go through the hate train with other members running with them, as if they're all together in this. Many people doubt them, even themselves but the inner voice tells them to don't doubt themselves, just trust themselves and don't be afraid to fail, be afraid not trying. I believe that at some point, we all doubt ourselves but there's power within us, and we just need to find it. And that inner voice helping them to go through it.
This song speaks so much about their struggles, about what they have gone through. The hate train is too much, haters attacking members individually, it's either sl*t shaming, body shaming, face shaming, attacking their songs (I have no problem with people disliking their previous songs since we all have different tastes, but some are attacking the girls because of their song, even dragging their achievements and talents, so sneakers era is so hard for them, even before. So this song speaks volume itself). I love this song, I've been with itzy for a long time, been supporting them ever since, ever since they're not complete yet. Been supporting chaeryeong ever since she was a kid, Supporting ryujin in mixnine, and yeji with (I forgot the show, but she was there, Boa is one of the judges if I can remember it correctly). Been with them through ups and downs. They're one of my mains, I love them sm🤍
the meaning of this song is the answer of their struggling along 2022, where the member is doubt of theirselve like "are we still walk the right step of our career?" or "are our Fans still beside us?". they are share this feeling to JYPapi and yes, this song was written by him for Itzy and Midzy. this song has so special for us
WHY do you think they struggled in 2022. ITZY sold over 2 million records in 2022 in just 6 Months. The only girl group that outsold ITZY in 2022 is Blackpink. They never struggled. Sneakers is their best charting song since Dalla Dalla, beating even the beloved Wannabe. You are badly misinformed from toxic english twitter and tiktok. If you are a true fan, you would know this. But seems you only know what's on Twitter and other English social media platforms.
Itzy has officially become the 2nd kpop group that I am committed to Stan. TWICE is clearly #1. But, a dozen other groups I have really enjoyed, but no one has actually claimed a spot in my heart. Congrats Itzy, you are my #2 now! This song is EVERYTHING
Before ITZY, KPop girl groups were mainly stuck in that JPop cute mode (or the opposing "queen" mode). They redefined it to be more edgy --- all without coming off as too bad-a55. That’s not easy, but they pulled it off. Their message has always been about courage and not giving up. It seems that this flies in the face of the bullies of the world --- so haters took every opportunity to criticize them. This M/V is a testimonial to their resilience. Let’s fly! = = = = =
Nah its crazy how JYP girl groups experience so bad in their 3rd year Wonder Girls (3rd year in 2010) - Mismanaged Miss A (3rd year in 2013) - Hiatus TWICE (3rd year in 2018) - Overworked ITZY (3rd year in 2022) - Hate Train
I felt like the fans failed itzy that's why they sang that song... Yeji was literally running the whole song because she need sto keep running and carry the team while they are down. They are literally telling the fans to believe in them..
Producer JYP gets a lot of hate from any mishaps that happen in the company but we have to give him credit for these beautiful songs he composes to cheer the girls on when they go through a rough time. He did the same to Twice when they suffered back then due to controversies. He gave "Feel Special" song to Twice. "Bet on me" was also written specially for Itzy and I appreciate him for that. ❤🥰
If you're following Itzy ever since you would know how much the girls had been through. The lyrics is so touching and emotional that I cried watching them. And by the one your video became my favorite reaction vid of bet on me. Thank you so much
Yuna's part makes me break inside because it was yesterday that i got this feeling that I'm getting too comfortable being alone and I really want to go out there and get out of my room and talk to people but I can't... I'm not able to or know what to do
I gotta say..... Anyone else felt bad for poor Yeji? She had to do so much running for this MV!! 😂😂 😅😅 Also, I really love the message of the song, which is about having faith in yourself and overcoming self-doubt.
This song is amazing, do you plan or reacting/watching twenty by swan of purple kiss, she just debuted as the soloist and i want to support her so im asking it here

Completely un-deserved hate. It is SO STUPID of netizens to do this kind of stuff to the entertainers. It's WORSE than the stupid fandom wars.

I thought the same thing as their Feel Special moment! PD-nim JYP really has a gift of giving his groups what they need the most.
I see where you're coming from and both, agree and disagree at the same time.
