No North Indian can survive in NIT, Trichy and if they do not speak pure tamil (i.e not mixing with english), there is a separate council within the campus that issues them with death penalty. In fact, every year only 10% of northies survive full 4 yrs here. So beware of that. Also Trichy is hot and humid at 38'c during summers, unlike the pleasant climate of North India at just 48'c during July/Aug. And unlike North India, which has utmost respect for girls, Trichy can be hell to anybody as even guys can get raped. At NIT, Trichy - you will be forced to eat only tamilian food. If you are found eating chappatis, you will be issued fine. If you speak in hindi, you will be belted with stones. And there are no teachers here - only Profs/Lecturers - who also ensure no northie even passes in 4 years. So, bottom line - please stay in the cultured and educated places of North India and study Engineering. Do not come into this barbaric land, even if offered a seat for free.

Tell you what, it succeeded in a big way and we really enjoying thrashing the shit out of every north indian that we saw flouting the above rules and almost all of the panwalas got the treatment meted out, with some canned brutally to death. Heard our juniors have taken it up to a totally new level that I am extremely proud of. You see, we are the Best NIT in this country for a reason - that is well beyond your comprehension. So in the best interests of your life and safety, stay miles away from us and pursue your degree in those world-class engineering colleges up there in north india.
