How does Belew sing over those guitar syncopations. Miraculous
Was just thinking the same thing. That line is hard enough to play alone.
similarly to how figure skaters spin without falling over from vertigo
Same way you get to carnagie hall
REMEMBER He played with Zappa..so did Steve…
@@Gauchothedog from the fruit to the root
Steve's playing fits these compositions even better than I had imagined.
IKR, it was a cool show, finally got to see Adrian Belew!!
Please subscribe
I saw videos of First show when was picking that part, here Is tapping. It sounds very well!
This is certainly one of the songs I was wondering how it would come out. My admiration for Steve Via just goes up. A wonderful version.
Its nice that You can hear him, me personally think Steve is way too low on mix.
I think a lot of us (even Vai fans) have been impressed at how well he has fit in. He's toned down a little, but he's still Steve. And he's very very good.
Belew sounds great, he's literally 74
And Levin is 78
Fucking legends
That's a good age to play in 7/8
I would have thought Levin was pushing 70 only that I know of him playing on late 70s stuff. He's in good nick.
That’s some intense guitar playing
I was wondering how he would sound filling Fripp's shoes....was blown away. Best Man for the job.
@@sludge1298 you got that right!!😄
I was at this show. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Find someone who loves you the way Steve Vai's fingers love a fretboard.
Was at this show as well! Adrian’s vocals were on point!!!!
haha this is where tool got the intro to 7empest from :D
Wonderful performance of everyone, especially Steve Vai!
Astonishing!
Thank you very much for sharing!!!!
Now they have really warmed up. Amazing🎶🖖
What a leap from that first show! Sparklingly confident!! Thank you.
I love Steve tapping his part at 1:10...I can't pick that either ;) (yes, that is a joke of course.) Got my tickets for Thousand Oaks; dying of anticipation. I saw KC several times in this era, and have always thought it was some of the best music I'd ever heard.
He's mainly tapping because of his shoulder injury. It's easier on him. He did a great job with the parts I think!
There’s a lot of interviews where he talks about switching techniques to fight fatigue and injury. 😮
Got to see this live at the second San Jose show, and it kicked ass.
I was at the Ryman show! Ponied up for a seat up close, and worth every penny.
I was there last night thanks for recording this - I noticed he just started tapping that part - last week vai was picking that section
Interesting. It would think doing that much tapping would be even more difficult but guess it's easier for SV.
Picking is way harder
no doubt
Tapping it's easier on his shoulder.
@@pitpride1220Watching this I wondered about him
Playing himself into more surgery by the end of the tour.
Belews voice tone is incredible
Steve Vai just doing his own Steve Vai thing.
Man that sounds amazing.
A lineup for artists that appreciate monet! Very specific. Very beautififul!
Wow! Really good job on this recording… Much better than the average bear… Can’t wait to see them here in Florida soon
Great job! I love beat!
Stunning and beautiful sounding music cheers don 🎸😊
Interesting take on Fripp's sound in this one; super clever way to navigate the song by Steve Vai (original is freaking insane)
Grazie Steve
Amazing, amazing....
Awesome playing!!
This is berserk!!! ⭐️
Thats tight!
I was curious how Steve was gonna play lines like the ones in Frame by Frame. It’s not the same as having Robert Fripp, that’s for sure. But it’s very creative. I like where he takes it.
WOW. 🖖
Vai is back!
Adrian's vocals at 74 are on point.
Wow!
These 4 A.I. Bots sound fantastic
1:20 Beauty in the dissonance!
So good. Steve tearing it up. 😅
Good stuff!
Even Vai has to two-hand tap to keep up with Fripp!
Totally! Fripp cannot be topped. But I do think it's cool that Steve does a great job playing Robert's parts in his own style, rather than just slavishly try to imitate Robert's style. I'm seeing these guys place in Chicago in November and I could not be more excited!
Vai had a bad injury to his right forearm quite a while ago. On top of that, he had surgery for his shoulder sometime around the pandemic. I think he's doing a hell of a job considering all that.
That riff is relentless
I'd like to see Petrucci take a swing at it.
Seen Vai pick it in other concerts. Few different clips of this track on UA-cam
Why isnt steve sitting down?
Hah Belew counting the one toward the end, i dont know how the hell they do it!
yeah what happens at the end? someone gets off but I don't hear it, or maybe he's just calling off 1 as a matter of routine. F'ing amazing either way
@@Willriii if you watch he’s mouthing the count
There's a few clips of this song going around UA-cam. Steve does pick it in other clips
Rebel vai😁
Any idea why they skipped the first minute?
steve can't decide if he wants to play the guitar or the chapman stick
Steve's using tapping to get through those hard passages.
Diaaablo
Did not know of Zappa's influence to this extent untill recently er a er aamazing.Even any hic wold be s in their depends yer opinion
Shut up and enjoy whatever song they play, crowd
Excellent.
Is it just me…..sounds like beginning of Tempest.
blurring the line between crimson projekt and cover band - why not? sounds great
Just play the Fripp parts. Your noodling doesn't compliment the song.
cry
Show a little right hand technique Vai
great playing - horrible mix!
🥴
Who needs Fripp? He is old and obsolete, Steve Vai is the future of King Crimson
Whitout Robert Fripp there is no King Crimson only BEAT.
Are you retarded?
havin Vai there is weird AF. He plays too much
second this.
Totally disagree. Steve is playing Fripp's parts to a "T". Yeah Steve adds some flash by tapping some parts where Robert picked, though I don't find it distracting. If anything Adrian goes over the edge more often than not. ua-cam.com/video/IpMyf9EJDFA/v-deo.htmlsi=Jlw0lkNOETgbpgjX
There's literally no other guitar that could fill this role. I think he did well. He played the parts without sacrificing his own voice.
Bullshit he’s perfection!
