They all have their purpose! I used to exclusively only use the graphical, digital style EQ's. But for a while now I've switched to using "analog" channel strip style plugins exclusively. I find that I work a lot quicker with a channel strip now. Quick changes, faster results! :)
Love these kindve experimental shootouts! Really gets the mind jogging & helps one to formulate better plugin chains to compete w/ real analog & analog emulated plugins. Getting the exact SAME is almost always impossible & never worth the attempt but getting things to COMPETE via being close enough if not better should always be the goal. Its not hard to fool the ears, especially untrained ears & most music lovers havent trained their ears so its foolish to not fool them w/ anything convenient for us lol. Its convenient to not invest $250,000 into analog equipment when you can just use $250 worth of plugins, even plugins that can be competed with using stock plugins & the general principles analog taught us(wider musical EQ bands, various stacks of subtle saturation, etc). Bravo!
Sounds more open With fabfilter On The vocals. Bass was better With The analog emu strip. Drums meh dunno would mix it differently than The fabfilter outcome but also not a huge fan og The strip Sound. 🎉 Thx for the video

The SSL emulation you can find for $29 on sale. You spent how much on the FabFilter plug-ins?
Good informative video!!
Thanks. I spent to much on FF😊, But I actually bought FF on a Black Friday sale a few years ago and haven’t regretted it.
@@Rogerthatmusic Those are great plugins.
