Christmas 2017 Manger Candy Cane Treat

A sweet treat that focuses us on the reason we celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ. This is quick and easy to make with the supplies you have on hand, which is good because we are quickly coming to our wonderful day of celebration when God became Incarnate for our salvation. What joy!
These are made with a 2" by 8" piece of card stock, and scored at 3/4" and 1 1/8" (OR 3/4" and 1 1/4" if your candy cane is a little thicker). Fold up and secure with either washi tape or a 1/2" by 6" strip of patterned paper. Use a circular type shape to show the radiance behind the manger, here I used the daisy punch and the starburst punch, both from Stampin' Up!, and punched them out of Daffodil Delight. Put your candy cane in, and secure with thread at the top, while tucking the "J" part into the little pocket. Create the baby and the manger as shown in the video. Add a star and your treat is done. You could add a tag, stamp on the back, or even a "Happy Birthday Jesus" sentiment.
