The visual update just cured his blindness so now he actually knows where to kick.

The R damage spaghetti code is already there for God knows how long, it applies to any mod that isn't affected by CC. If you don't get knocked up from his kicking someone else to your face then the damage will apply every frame it passes through your hitbox. Truly the small indie studio moment.

They are recoding his spells so it fits with the new code base i guess. But the new code base is also sh*t i guess. From one spaghetti into another xD

@@alvinluk9724 That is because they are not just updating his visuals, but basically recreate lee sin with their new and shiny tech
that's kinda a general misunderstanding of what an ASU is. it's an Art and *Sustainability* Update. They do a lot to clean up a champ's codebase, and the blog post about the ASU had a whole section about how skin-specific additions and cosmetics had scripting in the base Lee script, clogging up all his actions when they weren't in use.
(That doesn't mean bugs like this getting into PBE is a great thing, but this is also where that's supposed to be caught as a last-minute safety net)

Well, is a VISUAL update, so it makes sense that Lee now can SEE where to kick
Because most of his skins were directly tied to his code. They rebuilt it from the ground up, and we have this bolongese of a code now

Visual update= they hardcoded the hitmarker onto the animationframes, but now with the visual update the animation has 3x more frames, resulting in multiple hits if the enemy can stand still through the cc
Its an ASU, Art and Sustainability update. They advertised this change as including necessary changes to his abilities code to make them sustainable due to how poorly of a Swiss Cheese they made them back then. Problem is, its still Swiss Cheese anyway, and they aren't good chefs as established prior. They make too much Spaghetti for any and every dish they make. Tada! This nonsense right here.
I think that the new lee sin ult count someone as "ulted or hit by the ulted target" when they get cc'd by the target or by the ult, and by not getting cc'd, they will get a ton of damage bc the code will aways count the person as non ulted, so they take the damage again and again and again
Riot putting in the extra effort, making gameplay bugs for their visual updates instead of just visual bugs.
Wait but I've actually seen some clips of something extremely simlar with pre-ASU Lee.. like I think Lee kicking someone into baron and baron just insta exploding?
different bug, that one got fixed. happened with anyone who casted their ult and then got far enough away from the baron before/while the damage was applying, it would apply constantly very fast
Reminds of that one bug that zyra and leesin can oneshot baron back then, leesin ulting people into baron and flash away from it will also led to outcome of the video, almost instantly killing baron, zyra ulting the plant and flash away also works
it maybe coded like
damage > knock up > if knocked up dont damage
Try damaging someone already knocked up, might end up with no damage at all
Barely takes any programming knowledge to figure out how such code would cause issues. I hope to god it's not actually that simple, they can't be this incompetent
@@Ayzev dude, in the earlier years of league a new cc over cc'ed target was unlocking movement for target, it worked like cc applies "can move = false" so if you another cc that flag becomes reverted to "true" for few frames

from hitting baron with ult while dashing/flash away to this 😂😂😂
my friend and i were theory crafting:
A - it either is because lee sin ult is trying to do damage and knock up. it does damage. but doesnt knock up. so it's like "try again" and it does more dmg but no knockup, rinse repeat
B - might also be because being airborne avoids taking more damage from the ulti, so when you're not airborne, you just take infinite damage
Ahhh isn't this why a few months ago lee could almost 1shot baron aswell? since it is cc immune but now it effects champions too maybe?
It kind of reminds me of the old Lee Sin R bug that could one-shot Baron
Idk if they patched it but a couple months back you could do the same thing to baron and dragon

I think this is related to the one shotting Baron bug as Baron is also immune to CC.
I was gonna say how does just changing animations effect the things in a kit like this then remembered how long skarner took cause how deeply embedded he was in riot's spaghetti code.

He's level 2 lee has 200 ad
That's approximately the same damage taken by Mundo post-update shown at 0:05. Only differences are:
-Mundo is level 3 post-update compared to level 2 pre-update (less health/armor, should take more damage pre-update)
-K'Sante is level 3 post-update compared to level 4 pre-update (because R uses champ's max health, pre-update should take more damage)
-Mundo doesn't have trait active post-update while he does pre-update (pre-update should take more damage)
Vanguard is fine and works as usual!

I didnt realize lee was getting an update, and im reading it was even just a visual one ... why? I would have an instant example of a more deserving one, but there have to be quiet some older champs who didnt get updated yet, no? Way to go breaking the champ with a visual update tho xD
