After watching this, I was immediately convinced to purchase this module. Installation was a breeze, thanks to this video. I did however run into two slight difficulties. They both are related to removing the door panel itself. The first was actually understanding how the latch catch comes off. I have added a link at the end of this comment which has a much clearer view and description of how that mechanism comes apart. The second was a direct result of me fumbling around with that mechanism. My Ranger has ambient lighting in the cabin. As I was trying to manipulate that handle cable to remove it, I inadvertently broke the fiber optics attached to the inside of that door handle. There is a small connector just above the door lock connector. I struggled to remove it, so I left it and figured I would do that after I got the latch cable off. I should have removed that connector first. Thankfully I was able to repair my fiber optics with just a drop of super glue and some Scotch tape. Lol. Thankfully it still continues to work just fine. Hopefully this will preventive few others from having the same struggles I did. Despite those two obstacles, this installation was an absolute breeze. If you're considering this product, just stop wondering and buy it. It is by far the best accessory I've put on my truck so far! Door handle latch removal... ua-cam.com/video/pPVhBcv17MA/v-deo.html
Appreciate your sharing this cool product and the installation process. I now have it installed on my 2021 Ranger Tremor. No issues at all 🙂. Thanks again 👍
I have owned four F-150's, and have been watching a lot of the Maverick videos. When I compare those two models to my 2021 Ranger I can't help but feel like Ford cut a lot of corners on the Ranger. Especially considering how much the Ranger costs.
Cut corners? All they did was move the so called international Ranger over to the North American market. The International Ranger had been around for quite a long time. It is simply a out dated old platform at this point.
@@factsoverfeelings1776 A truck that is stickered at 41k (early '19, XLT, FX4, 302a, andTow pkg) doesn't include heated mirrors, no lights on vanity visors, lack of storage, no fold flat anything seats, only 6 tie downs (4 after Sept '19) and zero utility options for the bed. Then Ford cuts out the folding rear headrests on Screw models, removes the lighted console gear indicator (moot but still a point), and takes away the front parking sensors as standard, AAAND removes the engine cover (just to put out a TSB bc water can intrude and short wires) in the mid-2020 model year is quite a few corners being cut. Sure it's long in the tooth, but Ford is getting silly stupid with nicking things and, coincidentally, increasing the next model year cost almost exactly what they removed
@@ranger8729 Yeah I got the base XL since I didn't want all the technology stuff and just need basically a light work truck, but took a look at the Lariat and other more loaded models and was surprised how minimal features there were compared to the difference between a fleet XL F-150 and a loaded F-150.
Great job , thanks that is definitely something i will look into , i gotta hand it to you no pun intended as far as using one hand while filming the video 👍 thanks looks good
Thanks for the video I just got a 19 ranger 20,000 miles xlt crew cab as my first truck I like it so far only thing was when I first got it drivers side air was hot passenger side cold they fixed it at the dealer but had to take out entire dash just for that actuator you’d think with 20,000 miles there would be no issue
Do you know how to remove the headliner by chance. I cant find anything online on how to do it. I like to do my research before jumping into something. Thanks
It’s not very hard, you just have to remove all the pillar panels, a pillar, b pillar and c pillar panels which involves removing the top half of the seat belts and then removing the sun visors.
Is it mine,or do your door lock lights stay on also.Once I lock the doors, the led on the buttons stays on.Thought maybe they would time out after a minute thinking the window module was still doing something, but they just stay on.
Go to redtek.com.au/shop and find your correct module. They are very great to answer any questions so you can message them directly and ask what module you need if you’re unsure.
Great video! Thanks! 2 questions though. With the installation of this module, are you still able to stop the window mid position if you don't want it all the way down or up? If yes, does it work the same as the OEM auto switch for the driver's window? And second, it appears that the module comes with its own fob. I'm assuming it must be carried WITH the OEM fob as it is only useful for lock/unlock and auto window functions, right?
Yes, you are able to stop the window at any point you want. It does work the same as the OE drivers window but on all 4 windows. It does not come with a separate fob, it works off the factory key fob.
Update... I purchased the module and completed the installation. I give this thing a 10 out of 10! They are obviously fixing what Ford screwed up. Your video was a huge help with the installation. I'm sure I would have been successful without it, however with your video, it probably took me a fraction of the time. I ran into two slight difficulties that I think others may also. I will put them in a separate comment so that others can more easily find it. Again, thanks a million for this awesome how-to video!
I love my 2021 Ranger Lariat. I just wish my gas cap would more fully close so it’s actually flush with the side of the truck. What kind of flares/tires/wheels do you have on yours?
I haven’t seen any with a fuel door not being flush. Sounds like something to talk to your dealership about. I have the Bushwacker OE flares and had them painted. The wheels are RockTrix RT107 17x9 -12 and tires are Toyo Open Country A/T2 Extreme 285/75/17.
Do the master switches for the other windows (switches at the driver's door) respond normally like the driver's window switch does if you don't want them to express up/down? And the module only makes the master switches express, not the switches at the other doors, is that correct? Thanks.
Little late, but i just realized with this installed, the rear windows no longer lock via the driver's side button. I lose the ability to roll them down from my seat (like stock), but passengers can roll them down. And occasionally, with auto stop/start, the rear passenger side window rolls down on its own. Any experiences like this?
So, I'm looking to order this item for install. I have a 2019 Ranger Supercab. Is there a specific module for the two windows or will this one work as well?
You can still crack the windows, you just have to hold the switch for more than a split second otherwise it will go all the way down. It takes some getting used to but it wasn’t annoying to me after I got used to it.
Can you replace OE tweeters on the XLT with more premium ones for example like the ones in the Lariat model? Do you think it would be a complicated process or a plug and play situation?
I’m not entirely sure, I’d like to think they would be a direct swap but I know some speakers from premium manufacturers won’t work properly if not connected to that same brand stereo system without modifications
You can honestly say that you installed this with one hand tied behind your back. Awesome vid. Thanks!
Haha, I guess you could say that. Thank you!

OK that's cool, my question is does the one touch work for each individual door controller maybe asked this question too soon, but that's OK
It does make all window switches operate as one touch up/down.
nice, good video, thanks
Cant seem to find the same model you're using on their website. All they show are MK2 and MK3. For rangers.
