    I think it would be cool to cut out a few of the gears from the smaller black rectangle and let the silver show through (maybe dry brush some black to soften the shine?)

      @@bellastitchery8043 I forgot to mention as well that I think saying masculine card is a fine term. You can give a masculine card to someone of any gender it just depends on what their style is. Saying "manly" would be problematic though.

    This looks awesome! Thank you!! A quick tip: instead of gluing all the little die cuts, use Stick It, it will save you a lot of time! Also, if you find stamping a little intimidating, you could use a stamp positioner. They can be an investment, but absolutely worth it! So, it looks like you don't have to put anything on top of the waxy layer. Does it dry fast? Will it come off?

    • @bellastitchery8043
      @bellastitchery8043  5 років тому +2

      svetlana devic Thank you! I do have the Tim Holtz stamp platform (which is amazing, especially since I always stamp crooked 🥴). What’s Stick It? Not sure I’ve heard it...
      I don’t use a sealer with the waxes, but I have some from Swellegant). I’ve only ever done that on a guest book album cover since I knew it would be handled a lot. For the most part though, it seems to dry really well. 👍🏻

    • @svetlanadevic
      @svetlanadevic 5 років тому +2

      Bella Stitchery why, thank you!!
      Stick It is a very thin layer of glue that is in between to papers, so it seems to me, lol As they like to call it, "double-sided adhesive" ... You peel off one layer of paper, put your paper on it, cut with your dies, and then, your die cuts become stickers... it's quite nice and it makes your life so much easier :)

      @bellastitchery8043  5 років тому

      I haven't tried the pipes, but I've made my own for a steampunk album out of cardboard and metal paint. That was kind of fun, but it probably would have been much quicker with dies. lol

    Will thewax not work straight onthe card stock. What is the purpose for the gesso?

    • @bellastitchery8043
      @bellastitchery8043  11 місяців тому

      I find that the gesso makes the paint stick and pop more than when it's directly on the cardstock. It also sets the gears to the cardstock so it looks like one big piece (instead of seeing the edges of the die-cuts on top (plus you can use different colors of cardboard or paper for the dies if you paint them all black). :)

    How do you keep the paper from warping and rippling from the glue when it dries? Love the reuse cardboard idea!

    • @bellastitchery8043
      @bellastitchery8043  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Glad you liked the card idea ❤️ I don’t have much of a problem with warping, unless I use too much glue. You can also use a tape runner, which won’t warp at all, but doesn’t hold as well. If my card does become a little curly, I just put it under a heavy book for a little while and it flattens right out 🥰👍🏻

    • @Sunandsand4life
      @Sunandsand4life 3 роки тому +1
