I’m a 75 y/o Southern boy. This young lady only recently came to my attention. Better late than never. I have become completely enthralled by her. Everything thing about her; her style, her look, her voice, her demeanor just click with me. Obviously I’m not the only one, lol. She has a very real, genuine quality about her.
Every time she gets interviewed or talks between songs...she is working in a positive message, bringing attention to mental health...asking us to take care of one another....she's freaking awesome
her voice is so special...but I am always just as impressed at how much the camera LOVES her...and how comfortable she is in front of it. She can look right down the lens and connect...not many people can do that. i was really impressed with her "ad read" too. Sierra, your soul shines through in everything you do. Thanks. stay strong
She's just a ray of sunshine, I saw her perform last year when she had lost her voice but her singing still sounded so good even though she could barely talk between songs. She had to take a break and her band took over and played some amazing instrumentals for a while, the AC was broken at the venue and I was sweating like crazy but despite all of this it was still probably the best concert I've been to!
She’s a breath of fresh air. So unique and talented. I hope she continues to rise and share her music. Looking forward to what the future holds for Sierra. This was a great interview!
I have watched several of Sierra’s interviews, I would love for her to write a song about her near death experience. She could put the peace & love she felt to words and music. This young Lady is truly blessed, and she is blessing others.
As a songwriter I'm guessing the song you mentioned has been written. She likely used metaphors...and obscure characters to mask the darkness. Sometimes as songwriters we don't like to get into the dark.
Same. In Dreams got me a couple of years ago. Down the rabbit hole ever since. And oh, to see her live. There's something that can't be explained but it's there loving, helping, and giving.
Recognizable . . . . definitely. Like Janis Joplin? Hardly, Ferrell can actually carry a tune and has a pretty voice to listen to. Never heard anyone say that about Joplin.
Her voice, phrasing, and stage presence invite the audience right into the song. Listening to this artist makes people feel like, we're part of the song. She is a very, very special gift. And by the sheer number of videos out there, she's quite willing to share. I have a feeling her best is yet to come. Again "What a gift, Sierra Ferrell "
I have never heard the interviewer before, Jessica Paxton, great questions and insight as an interviewer 👏 Love what Sierra said about how hearts speak to each other before people ever have a conversation... yes they do
Sierra Ferrel is NOT ALT country....this is what happens when modern stadium country takes over the market to the point where people FORGET what country is. Sierra Ferrel is what i would consider classic Country Folk.
I disagree. Popular country has always been sub par compared to the underground indie, or “alt country” artists. She also incorporates jazz elements to her work which makes her more than just country folk- hence, alt country.
She's a wonderful artist and a beautiful soul. It's so good she's enjoying things, as she admits she's strong and vulnerable. I'd be lost without her music, she's a healer.
What a great interview! I came for Sierra, and ended up loving her more, and loving Jessica Paxton, too...fabulous, thoughtful interview...almost has a therapist-like style. I learned of Sierra from her collab with Brooks Nielsen, and over the past few months have slowly become interested in her music. And just now I realized I will be a huge fan...will be going through all the songs and seeing what is what...lovely!
I have never seen/heard a singer with such amazing pitch, tone, tempo, and phrasing. No matter what ,she does not miss a note...a key change, a stop or start. It's also a compliment to her band...I'm hooked.
All I can say is YES Sierra Ferrell I understand all you talk about and agree 💝 you are humble and your music brings me happiness like I had listening to country music growing up in the 80’s. I’m 49 now and enjoy your music so much even my husband and children love it too. I can relate to how you think and sing. God bless you. Save time in your busy life to garden. That’s my favorite place too. Thank you Jessica for such a wonderful interview! Blessings! 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
This woman is in a very small group of singers who made time stand still when i saw her sing. IN DREAMS was the 1st song of hers i found and instantly i knew i was gonna like this girl.
Just found her today 12/5/24. Now I'm looking for more interviews and music at 2 am in a southwest Michigan village during a squalling snow storm with my baby dog, Chock-O laying beside me, waiting patiently for his nightly treat. Widow brain is something I wish I never would of learned the meaning of by experiencing it..... distraction by music is a therapy.
They say never meet your hero’s- not true here.SF is just as interesting and beautiful as her music. In these shit show times how lucky are we that Sierra has risen.? What a joy.
Wow! Haha. I've never seen Sierra dress so casually. She's usually wearing something really freaky-cool and wild. I guess even cultural icons need to take a break sometimes. 🤣 Now matter what she's wearing though, she's always a super-sweet, positive cutie-pie.
I heard Sierra's song "Too Hat to Handle" on Netflix movie "Downtown Owl". Wanted to hear the full song on Pantera or her UA-cam channel but its nowhere .
Sierra is a once in a generation artist! So new, so fresh, real and yet so familiar too. Sometimes I think, all the glitz, glamor and so down to earth, Dolly Parton 2.0. She's going to be around for a long, long time.
Another Glaring Example of how "The Experts, Labels, Nashville" ignored the talent that was thete for all to hear for YEARS and now miraculously. DISCOVER what countless others heard and new when Sierra was Busking actiss the country
Love her music and overall fashion style as mentioned in the interview...But that gold/silver? tooth crown makes her look like she's missing a tooth or tooth decay. Very distracting from her beautiful face. To Sierra: you have a beautiful smile, please reconsider the unneeded tooth "BLING".
I love her teeth. They’re just flawed enough to give her face character. She has no self consciousness about it. I love how she lives out loud on 12 cylinders and accepts every sq in of herself. Wish I could say the same
I saw Sierra live last year and she was amazing! Love her music and her voice is so comforting. BUT… this interview is honestly tiresome. Can we please stop with the trauma and victim hood heroics. We all have challenges in life, and some are greater than others. I too was homeless, abused, and addicted and you know what, I pulled my boots straps up and got through it. I still go catatonic from memory almost daily but this doesn’t make me a hero. That experience makes you creative in way that is special to you. Sometimes it’s better to sit and be, and not proselytize. I tend to enjoy art that doesn’t tell me how to think, but how to think for myself. We all have special talents, and it’s grossly unfortunate there are some that don’t express human empathy but really at the end of the day we all individually flush toilets.
Everyone doesn’t look at the world through your eyeballs. You sound like someone who thinks you have the market cornered on everything. It’s not a good look. Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps or put a rubber band around your head and snap out of it. Both messages are dismissive tropes. Basically you’re saying you don’t care about other people. That’s fine. Many people don’t. But don’t start thinking you have pearls of wisdom to offer because of it.
I come to UA-cam for amateur psychological analysis; thanks so much for providing! If you don't want to hear what people have to say, click on another video. The cool thing about people is everyone gets to live their own life and process the tribulations the way they see fit. She was asked the questions and she answered them, eloquently and thoughtfully. Enjoy your day.
or maybe, just MAYBE, this is what art is all about. It's an outlet to process trauma, to overcome it. Maybe talking and singing about it helps give it less power. Maybe someone hearing her songs or her story for the first time resonates with it and it helps them through their trauma. Just a different perspective.

We saw her open at RedRocks when we went to see Shakey Graves n she is mind blowing live. See a show if she’s close by!!
Same here brother... Well...80s baby but yeah this is the lady to watch for.
Every time she gets interviewed or talks between songs...she is working in a positive message, bringing attention to mental health...asking us to take care of one another....she's freaking awesome
She was a local legend just a few years ago here in WV. This is awesome! 😊
Nearly 50. Could not be more thrilled to have found her and her music. We need this positivity so much!
Such a wonderful voice, she can make an audience go wild with a phrase, a trick, a break in her voice. Hank Williams incarnate
Yep!! Saw her at Redrocks!!! Holy cow…she stole the show n the whole audience
Best concert I have ever seen…I have seen the greats. She is something else.
Amen ❤

She seems so centered and grounded within herself. I really admire that.

Beautiful speaking voice & singing voice, we love You Sierra!
It was an amazing interview. Extraordinary interviewee, as was the interviewer. Profound is, indeed, the key word.
Gems on vhs introduced her music to me
Me too, love Gems on vhs
Same. In Dreams got me a couple of years ago. Down the rabbit hole ever since. And oh, to see her live. There's something that can't be explained but it's there loving, helping, and giving.
She is right. They don't talk about it enough. Thank you for talking about it.
Inspiring and adorable.
Keep speaking truth, you are clearly in the know, thank goodness. Love your music. Thank you for being so honest.
Thank you for the interview. I absolutely treasure this woman. I can't say enough about her...
This young lady has a voice like Joplin. Instantly recognizable. She is going to go far. Very far.
Recognizable . . . . definitely. Like Janis Joplin? Hardly, Ferrell can actually carry a tune and has a pretty voice to listen to. Never heard anyone say that about Joplin.
@@stevecorcoran9869 recognizable was as far as I meant.
Yes!!! The outfits have been getting better n better!! I always look forward to what’s next!! Fun
Great interview!!! Not only do I love Sierra's music but also what she stands for ❤
@@ultrapolitanrecords jealous much? 😂
Sierra is such a joy to watch and listen to for me
Most precious❤. Such talent, so sweet, and so humble! Very glad she’s made it!!
Yes humble - so wonderful
You have been a blessing to this Traveler struggling rgt now. Thanks for your peace and strength. 🎉🎉

i love you Sierra Elizabeth Ferrell!
Sierra Ferrell is my soul sister.
I have never heard the interviewer before, Jessica Paxton, great questions and insight as an interviewer 👏 Love what Sierra said about how hearts speak to each other before people ever have a conversation... yes they do
She is so wise! She had to heal herself and along the way heals others.
Sierra Ferrel is NOT ALT country....this is what happens when modern stadium country takes over the market to the point where people FORGET what country is. Sierra Ferrel is what i would consider classic Country Folk.
AMEN. Real lyrics. Not blabbering about their tractors or trucks.
I disagree. Popular country has always been sub par compared to the underground indie, or “alt country” artists. She also incorporates jazz elements to her work which makes her more than just country folk- hence, alt country.
Absolutely inspirational and super talented, just lost for words really, AWESOME 🙏❤️🙏

Great interview by Jessica Paxton. What a pro to ask such terrific questions and come so prepared.
I have never seen/heard a singer with such amazing pitch, tone, tempo, and phrasing. No matter what ,she does not miss a note...a key change, a stop or start. It's also a compliment to her band...I'm hooked.

Gosh, I love watching and listening to Sierra. What an incredible human
Really great interview!! The interviewer is fantastic with really good questions. 👏

Thanks for the interview Jessica. Sierra is the most and her band is ALLthat.
Beautiful interview
How can you be anything but in love with this young lady. Miss Sierra just remember where you came from and the hard work you put in to this journey.
I love her 😊❤
wonderfull interviewer thanks for this moment of share ...
What a wonderful person. The music, the voice , the songs , the fashion, the message. ❤❤❤
Yup ❤
Great interview, Jessica , a great job. One of my favorite musicians Mz . Ferrell hopefully see you here in Maine.
Loved this! A great interview.
she doesn’t know how much i needed her
That was cool! Thanks!
She is simply magical
Brilliant Interview, really enjoyed listening🤙
Superb musician, songwriter and singer
My new Stevie .
Was so blessed to see her May 16, 2024 Webster Hall NYC
Me too!! Then the next night in Forrest Hill Stadium..though Webster Hall was so intimate ..the best !
“On the road, my ghost found me”….I hear a song in this poetry she speaks ❤️
Everything shes saying is so spot on, i love her so much im going to cry when i see her in person. So happy i have found her ❤
One of my all time favorite artists... If she sang the phonebook, I'd shut up and listen
I❤ her!
LOVE SIERRA
Interviewing is a real skill … some people got it & some people don’t
very ambiguous comment lol
Love her word play. "Its because our hearts talked before we met"
Sierra is our "American Dream!"
A long time coming.

Adore her 💜💚🩵💛🤍
She is my absolute favorite female artist. Just AH-mA-Zing!
What an amazing and talented young woman! ❤❤❤
My favourite artist.
I just love her
I liked to hear the feedback the host was giving Sierra. Next visit we could maybe have shorter questions to give Sierra more time to flow?
The interviewer seemed like a big fan…if I were sitting opposite this talented woman, I would be blabbing a bit as well. I enjoyed her questions.
Do your stuff, girl; don't let 'em use you, abuse you, then discard ya. You're something special; Godspeed.
They say never meet your hero’s- not true here.SF is just as interesting and beautiful as her music. In these shit show times how lucky are we that Sierra has risen.? What a joy.
followed from day dot amazing artist 🙏🙏🙏 speaks the truth now💯
Love an blessings Sierra
Well what was her favorite flower😮.
Maybe someday I'll get the privilege to see her perform ❤

Her story kinda reminds me of Jewel. Who stayed true to her roots also
As a man, i am embarrassed to say i do enjoy seeing what she wears. It's never the same it seems and always very fantastical and ever evolving.
I've always wondered how her band came to be.
❤️
I wish we could have heard more from her instead of the interviewer. I was hoping to hear more about her background. She’s fascinating.
Who is being interviewed Sierra or the other woman?
Get the word out about Sierra.
I am also a personal graveyard for orchids😅
Dinosaur from England ,so sorry late discovering you but so glad l now have, your wonderful
Sierra is on a mission. All part of her timeline. She’s the real deal. Authentic and knows that love and unity is everything ❤
Are the wild fun costumes and the flowers the contrast with the dark world out there as you say?
Old Soul

music quality greatness. But obviously had no clue.
Not a good interview.

I like her music. That look is tragic.
Hey Sierra, you seem like a clever lady don't become white power. You are a brilliant songwriter and musician.
Hey Sierra when you stop giving power to your past it loses efficacy

Is this one of those shut up and sing messages? What is repressed will be recycled. Go tell it on the mountain, Sister!

Its a shame that she cares nothing about her weight.
