So he built his force cards the opposite way than what they show in this video (by the faces instead of by the backs. Go back and note where the card is in the book, and then where page 272 is supposed to be in the same book. They stop near the middle of the book, and 272 is almost the end. Obviously the same way they are explaining it in the vid.
Was hoping you'd explain the book test. I'm assuming the harry potter book has the same two pages over and over again with the only big word on either page being halfheartedly - thus assuring the audience member would pick that word.
this gives me an idea, why don't book authors keep in mind that they can publish a book, and at the same time allow it to became a magician tool by using only few long words (over 7 letters long) while other word are less that 6 letters long - - marketing this to magicians who are not interested in the story, but rather the trick it provides them

Great. However you forgot about the page number. The "gimmick card" only had the top part of the page. Jimmy would've seen the page number from the page behind and therefore that page would've still been in the book. Rather than explain it except that it's fucking magic!
This style of gimmick is pretty common in book style routines. There are different ones, business card playing card etc. I’m not a fan of this particular routine as it’s too many improbable things all coming together in a very specific structure and sequence so it really feels choreographed to the spectator and audience. Not to mention there are discrepancies and the handling is not super super flowy or natural. There is very little room for anything to really be a free choice apart from the audience member choosing a word but because the page is provided it’s not that impressive. Not my style of mentalism; sometimes simpler is better.
Sorry, I don't think you're even close, I stopped at 3.33...by the fact that torn page was in Fallon's shoe and how he overacts to buggery, he was in on the trick, so too was the girl in the audience, after you know that it's a no brainer...it's a lot simpler than you're making it out to be...
The over reaction is Normal. He’s a tv personality, it’s his job to to behave a certain way, and for magic it’s generally some type of bubbly bewilderment.
It’s more likely that both sides assistants worked together to make the sole thing happen but there is no reason Jimmy needs to know. Jimmys job is to act the personality and make sure he goes very smoothly with all the directions
Please do not reveal magic tricks this is not ethical. Remove this video please. Do you care anything about how difficult it is to create effects like this?

you can make your own- but you have to work page by page editing words and reprinting - thats why the trick cost 1200 dollars
its insane to pay that for a trick! your other method does the same effect to people for free.
