the engineer in this video was trying to clear an animal off the track with his horn - nice classic Alco sound from the engine (the Alco "growl"), a former Conrad and Yelvington switcher

I rode in a couple of S2's when I was a kid. They were Toledo Terminal RR back in the late 60's. I loved the weird engine sounds. A friend of mine who didn't care about trains called them "Toodley Doos" from the sound they made.

Manual windshield wipers. Imagine having to operate them by hand constantly in heavy rain.

You can operate them manually but they have air lines to each wiper motor as seen in the video... thus you can turn a knob and they will operate on their own
