My momma passed away 15 years ago. I took care of her the last 2 years of her life as she was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. I used to play this song for her after giving her her morning bath and her breakfast. She would sit in her wheelchair and smile and move her head to the music She couldn't remember most everything, but she never forgot Jesus, and she never forgot who I was. You were both able to tell each other goodbye and share expressions of love. Most of us don't get that opportunity. I was blessed with two mothers, and they both have passed away. Mother's Day is difficult, but I rest in the assurance that they're both at peace in heaven. Hopefully, your mom knew the Lord, and if you do, take comfort in knowing that you'll see her again. 🙏🏽 🫶🏽 🌷

Me too, my mother was my best friend and nobody was like her. People had similarities like her, but she truly was one of a kind. Her love was so beautiful and deep when she died so many people came to her funeral. She made you feel loved, she had eyes that smiled, and a smile that would make you smile or melt, her eyes twinkled love, she made you feel safe loved and wanted. My friends were always welcome to spend the night and eat. We weren't rich and we weren't poor or in the, middle we were okay and getting by. B ut company was always welcomed and adored. Whenever I talked about moving out she would cry. When she died I swear a part of me died, and went into that dirt hole with her. I love this song very much thank you for posting it♡♡♡

My mom passed away in 2000 and it took me a long time to listen to this song even though I love it without the tears coming out my eyes. My mom's birthday was in February and I always play the song but I choose to do it when I'm by myself! That song is so much truth in the words in that song the one time in particular I'm going to pick out when it says you only get one you only get one yeah! And of course I have to include the term I'll always Love My Mama she's my favorite girl born me in this world! Even though you been hurt by your Mother always forgive your Mom. I realized it when I grew up especially when I got very ILL. My mom came threw. Your mom can had alcohol or drug problems but got over it. A MOTHER will always make sure her children have what they needed. Some Mothers are there for thier children than the fathers who are not around. I understand your past hurt put it to prayer and forgive and give your mother the biggest hug and flowers.
