Oh man... you know the sound of that exhaust is a huge selling point.. how dare you NOT have any clips of the sound... You tease like the Rocketeer guys... but great job showing the installation.. looks like it just fell into place. Crossing under the transmission looks like it may be really low (like low point of the car). Hard to tell though.
Can't film any exhaust sound yet as the ECU and loom hasn't been connected yet, as well as intake manifold, throttle bodies, radiator, etc. Lots more jobs on the list before the first startup.
I could not imagine getting any work done while having any children. My salukis are attention sinks enough to keep me busy. I do not have the part numbers at hand, but I know you are correct about the source of the muffler bits. They were one of the delays in the current batch of kits being shipped across the pond. PS: See how much better the videos are without background music? I enjoy hearing the tools. ;)
Looks good with the cutout. I have not been brave enough to do the whole cutout and just cut another slot for the other side. I do not seem to have the extra supports that you have under the car. The one that comes off the PPF that the mid pipe hands from i may have to look for...
I wanted to do the full cutout as I had an off centre rear fog light which already looked crap, and would have looked even worse with 2 cutouts. So to get back some symmetry I just removed the rear fog light.
@@Jazda Yep i have the same crap fog light! It is a future plan to move it to one of the reversing lights as you only need one and then patch the hole.
How come you have an extra exhaust pipe support on the RHS directly after the cat (across the ppf)? Did you weld this support on the chassis? My '95 Mx-5 does have this one =( Right now im thinking about to just flex this one off of the exhaust pipe.
@@stefanklinke1361 I didn't add a hanger to the body of the car if that's what you're asking. My last exhaust (Cobalt) didn't have a support there, so I guess it depends which one you buy.
Do you have the center butterfly brace that connects your frame rails? I'm wondering if my Flyin' Miata butterfly brace will fit under than exhaust. I can't imagine its any much different than the skidnation one you have.

#powertoolsounds 😂
Could you confirm what diameters the exhausts are? Manifold primaries, manifold outlets and the single part of the system please?
Thanks
I no longer have the car so can't measure this. Best getting in touch with Rocketeer directly.

Looks clean! What exhaust was this? Did Rocketeer provide this or?
They provided it with the kit, but I'm 99% sure it's this one: www.mx5parts.co.uk/stainless-steel-exhaust-parts-dual-exit-mk1-p-1048.html

Yes, going to wait until everything is fitted before trying the butterfly brace. In theory, it should fit fine.
@@Jazda sir how much was the entire Rocketeer + engine conversion? I want this in my NB incredibly bad.
Info on pricing here: www.rocketeerltd.com/
Jazda I checked their site out I meant to ask how much you got that engine for :)
I bought the whole car, not just the engine. I can't remember how much I paid... I think it was about €800
It's a work of art.
IL Motorsport ?
Yep
Oi, what wheels are those and which measurements are they?
SSR Type X (SSF Forged) Racing Wheels + Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R 205/50/r15.
weight 5.2kg
Really?.... No sound compilation at the end? You are dead to me...
The build is still ongoing. Lots of work needed before the first startup.
@@Jazda please keep us updated. I need this in my life lol
