the story of the 3 dudes, gah damn them for wrongly accusing the guys during that time, it just heats up my blood everytime i think about the story GAH!
@icksterminator You know what, you're very right. I was in a bit of a dour mood when I wrote that comment, and while there are events that support the negative passage I wrote, I am a big believer in optimism, and I feel what cited is very true as well. I thank you for pointing this out, and allowing me to correct myself.
I remember seeing a show on tv, a documintery on this exact story...Its ashame that they have lost so much of their life because of our own justice and court system... I agree, Guilty till Proven Innocent..and even when they do get proven innocent...They still lost almost 20 years of life...
@Dominator046 @tnecnivnetnallav What you specified is called capitalism, not society! All thouge if you live in america it is hard to see the differance. Michael moor is an excilant example of an american realising that society does not have to be unfair to the poor. He also fit quite nicely into the song (3) as he risks his life at the hands of huge american companys that could easily dispose of him for expressing his oppinions to the world. I think he is an inspiration to everyone.
Just an example how bad this country,s legald system is still even all these years later it,s fustrating to know those three had almost 20 years of their lives stolen from them for a crime they did not do great that people like disturbed spoke out against this injustice
3 dudes were wrongly accused with out a spec of evidence against them of a satanic crime. i believe a cop edited a recording to make a false confesion from one of them to. theve been in prison ever since. they were releases shortly after this song was released. thats the super short version anyway.
Honestly after the documentaries and multiple articles. I believe the boys did it, I mean Misskelley confessed before and after. They were all mentally ill. They were so guilty and I'm sitting here terrified not because of the "false accusation" but the fact these guys got released.
Misskelley didn't confess the police did.. The police fed him everything listen to the "interviews" they ask him questions and he agrees and constantly changes his story. There was no evidence they did it thats why they only called "witnesses" to the stand there is evidence however that John Mark Byers (the father of Christopher Byers, one of the boys killed) killed them. THEY EVEN CALLED HIM TO THE STAND. Damien, Jesse and Jason were wrongly convicted and they were innocent. Only thrown in jail because they listen to music like this and Metallica and believe in the Wiccan religion.
I totally forgot about this comment. Lol well be that as it may there is one thing. There are three sides the police's side, the kids side, and the truth. Unfortunately, we will never know the third side, only true or false assumptions can be made.
I'm a Christian, and I'm not ashamed of it, but the fact that 3 innocent kids were arrested, imprisoned for 20 years, and sentenced to death all because they were metalheads in the Bible Belt makes me extremely ashamed of the people who claim to be like the loving and just God they worship. You CAN love God and metal, and loving metal doesn't automatically qualify you as an animal child-killer
I live in the Bible belt and it sucks balls. a regular customer comes in and refuses to take pennies as change..his reason "they're the color of blacks and have Abe Lincoln on them who freed the blacks" and a lot of other ignorant bs. he disgusts me and I'd like to beat him down to a bloody mess and have a so called "black" point laugh and maybe even spit on his wounds.
alright heres my deduction. people love disturbed not only because it has a story behind it, but because it shows the atrocities of the real world, and how fucked up it has gotten. I hope they do get back together and make more songs. but maybe because they broke up because they couldn't find of anything else to write about.
poor Damien Echols :/ The story behind this song is so fucked up...our court system is so broken...Guilty by association...Guilty until Proven Innocent
this is amazing
my reaction: FREAKIN INCREDIBLE!!!!! =D
Fantastic song, great beat, great lyrics, but the story is just a sad example of our court system.
@jacktheripperXIII That was like the best comeback ever... creds man! Love this song.
my friend all disturbed songs have a connection one way or another
the story of the 3 dudes, gah damn them for wrongly accusing the guys during that time, it just heats up my blood everytime i think about the story GAH!
technically they're on hiatus, and the hiatus was put in effect after this album, actually after their B-Sides album Lost Children

it should be innocent until proven guilty.
@cookiecrazied Well said! I hate sterio types. I for one hav dislexia but still have an IQ of arround 130 since the last test I took.
@HaloLoverx Then give a reason.
Why not :D

***** yes! there is a god!
wasnt on my copy of that album.
yup and just think, in America or anywhere else you can get the death sentence, you can get executed for the crime of innocence.
poor Damien Echols :/ The story behind this song is so fucked up...our court system is so broken...Guilty by association...Guilty until Proven Innocent
@TheRethak There allready dead!
