A question for DJMag: What's the difference between all these great young DJs and The Chemical Brothers? In the aspect of sound process, the way how music is made, beginning with a raw midi melody or sound?
Well it's the genre really. DJs tend to produce House and Trance, whereas the Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk and Deadmau5 produce Electronica, Drum N Bass and Techno
Their replies to why they left trance is pretty shocking. They had a whole show named "Trance Around The World" that ran for multiple years and showcased top trance tracks. They did BBC essential trance mixes. And now they say they exist with/without the trance genre. That's like a spit in the face of trance fans who made them who they are today. At least be honest and say that it's all about the money. Nothing else.
