Baldur's Gate had all the surface trappings, but underneath that stuff, it was really a story about family. That's why there have been so many "spiritual successors" to Baldur's Gate in the 20 years since it came out, but none have really managed to capture its magic: they can copy the graphic style and the D&D rules and the other surface details, but none capture the feeling of family, of love and loss.

Anyone who played the original BG Trilogy knows BG3 cannot be a proper sequel (the canon is the awful books, not the game). The more you think BG3 as standalone or Div:OS3 the more it makes sense. Still a good game though. Just definitely not a BG game.

Animalistic features are common for demons in Forgotten Realms. Many of them resemble beasts, they have animal-like horns, claws, hooves, wings, fur etc, etc. I guess since Amelyssan is just a human, she wanted to resemble a demon-goddess more by donning an armor with animalistic features. While the game is called BG3, it's not really a BG game, in neither spirit, gameplay or vision, so it makes sense for the music to not even come close.
In hindsight it's really funny to have this epic high tempo battle music when so much of the time spent in combat has the game paused
A dragon or lich in SOA: “Oh welcome to my lair, now you die”
A dragon or lich in TOB: “Wait, I just wanna talk no need for violence”.
That is why I love BG Trilogy - You start from someone that can be killed by bear with one hit to a hero that can tangle with gods.
