- In this video we are going to make a run up to the river to for a short evening trip. I will take you on a quick rundown of the path to the river and I'll add in a few fish catches as well. Please be sure to hit that subscribe button, like and share.

Use to hit the river hard in early spring and had lots of success. I also use to fish a lot of the rip rap and did well throwing cranks.

Just moved to Dallas and I’m so appreciative of your vids. Been hitting Lavon a lot cuz I keep my boat near there but just did ray Roberts for the first time last week and smoked some big hybrid stripers. Or I should say they smoked me. Lost a couple big ones lol

Awesome to see a video on this run. Moved to Rowlett last year and have been curious about making the run. Is this still possible in the summer when the lake drops?
Thanks man! It can be very sketchy when the water gets lower than about 2ft. I don't go back there much when the water is down, I can get back there but I have to get on plane before I leave the river and that makes me very nervous. People do it all the time though.
At what water level do you stop running up to the river
My trails are good with 435
Not sure at 433
I don’t really have a level but I would agree, 2ft low is getting dicey.
Do you do any hybrid fishing at Hubbard ?
Only a few times. Go to the gravel pit by the damn and throw those huge spoons. The humps by the power plant are also good spots.
Hubbard is a hard lake to fish Bro. Just in there last week looking for spawning Crappie. Caught 6. If you like Bass. Go over to the Chaha boat ramp around the side where President George Bush Highway is and fish the trees around the corner to the left where it rounds the bank. Was there yesterday and saw Bass on Livescope while Crappie fishing that I was thankful didn't bite my lure. Those Moe Foes were Huge all in there.
Do you have a track or route for the river run you sell?
It’s on my video I just did for Hubbard for the waypoints earlier this week. I can add the marks but can’t get the tracks to covert over to cards.
