I've already put it into practice. however not being allowed to separate the original multi-part polygons in the table, I first created a new duplicate layer (with the polygons I splitted) which I only used to manage the labels and then I followed your method. so I set up an expression which, as you have shown, defined the size of the font in the polygon to the area and I subsequently calibrated the size of the individual labels by hand. I hadn't thought about it. this trick will certainly serve me also in the future.

I can't find the "Split Feature(s) Parts" function in "Edit". Is there another way of finding it?
