I second that notion. I'm only at E1M2 and already think this is gold.
Actually there already was a DOOM2 remix album called Delta-Q-Delta which was released on August 8, 2008. So I think that the artist of this IDKFA album was aware of this fact and wanted to avoid plaguarising in the title.
Better the IDSPISPPOPD
IDD stands for *i dond dog*
It's not everyday you hear a recreation of a favorite thing of yours that surpasses the original.
I somewhat agree with you as it is a very good soundtrack. But I don't think it passes the original.
I personally think you can't make something better than that perfect soundtrack by Bobby Prince.
But that doesn't mean it's not good, I think that if it's a remake it can't really surpass the original, but it may be able to be equal. And this one is definitely equal.
@@ultrakillsimp1427 Yeah. The original is way to nostalgic to me to have anything surpass it. I like how this mimics the more modern doom games, so this is a very close second

I've heard a lot of DOOM soundtrack remakes in my time. But THIS perfectly captures the spirit and brings it into the modern realm.
If we ever get a remaster they MUST use this shit.
You can use this as an addon for GZDoom, a modern source port that lets you load a lot of amazing mods in the game. The best mod that goes with this music is Brutal Doom. A complete package that pretty much adds a LOT of new content to the game. It adds new weapons and two new playing styles. If you just want to play a remaster, I'd recommend using the Purist class.

If you're not a big fan of Sargeant Mark IV's behavior or want something more old-school, then you might as well use these other mods instead:

Beautiful Doom: www.moddb.com/mods/beautiful-doom-6100
Smooth Doom: forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=45550
Meatgrinder: (This one was also made by Sargeant Mark IV, but has a more old-school feel to it. I'd recommend playing it on Extra Violence, a custom difficulty that the mod has, as well as fast monsters on.): www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom/downloads/meatgrinder-co-op-mod
Dead Marine: forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=58521

This is the most epic shit ever. Since the first time I played Doom 1, I've been wondering how the soundtrack would sound like with proper instrumentals. Now I know, and I can die happy.
I wondered the same - and it was released just a couple of years after Doom, for the 3DO system, answering the question perfectly. And to me, it hasn't been beaten yet.
