I do think you're right but I must admit I can't stand floyds style of fighting. Obviously he is very skilful but he is just so negative and uninspiring in the ring. I like guys that go for the glory, guys that take risks and throw caution to the wind.

People complaining about Floyd running,but is it not dumb to stand toe to toe with someone who may have a stronger punch than you or may even be more physically stronger than you ? The science of the sport is to hit and try to avoid being hit, not stand there and get your brains beat out. Boxing is like a chess game and is a thinking man's sport and people being blinded by emotion fail to realize that Floyd is a master at not falling in to fighting his opponents styles of fight. I've seen guys like Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali and even guys from mma/ufc use foot work to create distance from opponents. As a firefighter I compare boxing to what I do for a living, if you run into a unvented building with fire blazing inside you may cause a back draft explosion but if you take your time and do a size up to read the signs of danger and analyze the fires behavior you can vent then put the fire out, think about it.

Mayweather really showed how great he is in this fights. He came in with a great plan and made an adjustment. Maidana is like a robot. He came in with the same dirty game plan. No adjustments just the same exact plan. Why wasnt his camp smart enough to know that Floyd was going to be ready for the wild stuff. Everyone knew that Floyd would move because he has the athletic ability to move. Maidana wasnt ready for the movement. All I can say is Floyd proved hes the best out there. I've always thought PAC would beat floyd but I'm even more certain now. Pacs speed, pressure and angles will give him hell. PAC fights at a good mid range distance aswell which will make it harder for floyd to clinch. That one shot counter shit will not work against pacquaio.

Truly a masterful display of Intelligence and skill. Great fight for the technical viewers like me, terrible for the masses people of people who wanted sheer action.

For a good trainer Robert Garcia supposedly is, he failed to teach Maidana to practice and throw a left hook or left straight to the head. Throughout the fight, all Maidana did was throw left jabs, lots of overhand rights that practically all missed their mark, and left hooks to Mayweather's well-protected body --- and most of which Mayweather was able to anticipate. All night long I was shouting "Maidana, throw a left hook or left straight to the head!", but nothing, disappointingly nothing...

Mayweather is a great boxer, he really gets the point of boxing "hit and don't get hit". He will retire undefeated let's just give it up... but I really would of LOVED to see mayweather in a street fight where you have to go toe to toe against your opponent the whole time. Floyd Mayweather is that guy; however, he showed all of his doubters in the first fight-- he stood in, let everyone see Madiana try his rough house/dirty fighting tactics, and still beat Madiana from the 5th round on. What both fights show is-- Madiana is weak in the belly. Floyd picked up in round 1 round 13 of the second fight, where he left off, jabbing to Madiana's body. I believe Floyd gave fighters the blueprint on how to beat the sh!t out of Madiana. His belly is Madiana's Achilles heal.

@4EverDubin I was speaking in general. Remember they just fought for 36 min. A LOT of calories was burned. That explains the sugary liquids that they drink and the water is to rehydrate like you said which is correct
36 min is not enough to burn that many calories.. the reason why they consume all that water after the fight is because boxers have to maintain a certain weight before and during the fight so there water and food intake during that period tends to be extremely low. Thats why they drink so much water after the fight and i promise you once he gets home hes about to feed on everything he gets his hands on.

Anyone arguing for Maidana doing well in either fight cannot add and knows nothing about Boxing. This fight was not close. Floyd shut him out.
