Ty. Covenant is always mentioned and I had a curiosity for better understanding. The word is so fancy for a relationship or agreement. Lol It's beautiful how you explained that in such simplest form. It's the start of a relationship were we open the door and hea there! Revelations 3:20

Covenants do not begin a relationship with God, they provide order to an already existing relationship with God. Also, God covenanted with man long before Abraham! Adam was in covenant with God, Hosea 6:7.

Covenant predates the Abrahamic Covenant, and is more rightly understood first as implicitly present in the creation, and later explicitly present in the Covenant with Noah.

The Covenant God made with us is never changing. He will fulfill it, that's His part. What about ours? Do we have a part to fulfill? Yes. We are to be obedient to all He commanded us to do, non negotiable; choice is ours. In short, there's conditions for us to inherit the blessings/ promises.

The covenants are progressive revelations of God's character and redeeming plan for humanity. One covenant do not abolish the one before.
God never changes , to our perception things change when really they're just evolving.

I believe we can be students helping each other. When it comes to God. Covenants have been established already by God. There are different kinds in the Old Testament. Starts with Adam. Then Noah. Then Moses. Then David. And then the New Covenant thru Jesus found in the New Testament foretold by Jeremiah 31:27-34. There are some other covenants as well - I didnt name them all but you can do your research. I like the video by Rhett Creative called Biblical Covenants. Of course there will be disagreements and differences to which is which. But I would pray to God and ask Him to show you the truth. I believe each builds on the one before it - giving us an ever increasing picture of who God is and how He wants us to walk with Him. The Law that was given (10 commandments and other statues) shows us how to walk with God. And it is hard to do because our own personal sin and the Original fall of man which caused the whole world to be in a fallen state. But not to worry because the perpetual blood of Jesus and his dying on the cross covers our shortcomings - our sin. Researching the covenants is essential to have a deeper walk with God. And understanding them will bring you closer to Him. It will give you James 4:8. I wont say what this verse is....but by all means look it up. And may you be blessed by it. I challenge you to look the verse up.☺

No he did not. The scribes later added hundreds of years to Shem's lifespan because they wanted to claim he was Melchizedek. This is an attempt to discredit Christ as the High Priest because he wasn't a Levite, he was "after the order of Melchizedek". And of course the distinguishing thing about Melchizedek is that he had super natural origins.. no mother or father i.e. pre-existing. He's a VERY mysterious figure, and the Bible intends for him to be a puzzle. Just like Christ; a puzzle with supernatural origins, unlike anyone else that has ever lived. Well, the Jews had to find a way to obscure the prophetic implications of Christ's pre-existence, so they created parents for Melchizedek, Noah and his wife. It just happens to be a lie.

@@kennethbate2117 That's unlikely since you currently lack a grasp of concepts and language. A smart person never demands "proof" because it's an abstract concept, not a tangible thing which can be seen or measured. The word you seek is "evidence". Evidence can be examined, or tested.
So first demonstrate you're capable of a higher level of reasoning, then I'll make the determination whether you're smart enough to tussle with. And yes, that was one example of how a proper sentence can be ended with a preposition.

And speak to people good words (6) and establish prayer (7) and give Zakat (8)." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing." New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14.
    Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (Acts 2:36)

Yeah, sometimes it can be like that. But you can be more proactive Laszlo. I find this teacher is just right for me. People are at different levels of learning. Sounds like you need more of a challenge and that is ok. There all kinds of videos on youtube to research. Maybe you should research some of them. But if you need more challenge - ask God. Trust me. I started praying and asking God to help me to find out more info about a particular topic and at a deeper level and got overwhelmed immediately. Let me tell you - when you pray or just ask God a question...it is a startling thing when He answers back. And He will. Because He is real. So pray and ask and invite God to help you with your studies. Or just ask Him questions (be resepctful) while you're studying. Ask Him to give you more challenges...and see what happens.😀
