If they re-sign Gilmore their defense will be solid….if they don’t, they’re stuoid. I’m fine with the revamp along the o-line, but man, they have to pickup a RB either after June one cuts or via trade. Some names will be there.

@@demon2k16 The defense was terrible in the GB game! Yeah, Dak sucks in big games, but the defense may as well have stayed in the locker room. Quinn up in that booth doing nothing to get control of the game. He should have been fired immediately after the game.

@demon2k16 1 pick 6 is correct. The defense gave up 41 points. Purdy threw 4 ints against ravens in 1st half. You know what the 9ers defense gave up off those 4 ints to the nflmvp last year? 1 td and 3 fgs. Just because a qb throws a int, doesn't mean the defense automatically gives up tds. If dak ever had thrown 4 ints in a game much less 1 half. Dallas defense is getting 60 dropped on them.
I believe the cowboys will be better against the run and more physical while being able to run the ball will force teams to throw into one of the best secondaries and face a fierce pass rush.
Zimmer likes bigger dt and lb. He has a plan to stop the run game.

Dan Quinn was fantastic in the first 2 years because he took the NFL by storm and did different things. The problem is, he never adjusted. He did not adjust year to year and even within a game. He just kept doing the same thing over and over and never adjusted. During the Green Bay game he should have taken his ass to the sidelines and talked to the players and came up with a new game plan. Instead, He kept doing the same thing. Let's hope this is a good change in the scheme. I bet you Quinn doesn't do the same thing in Washington with the defense. You have a problem with getting off the field on 3rd long and short and penalties that's what's holding his defense back in the regular season and the playoffs that's why they lose the teams as high scoring

Quinn was what we needed 1st 2 years..but he maxed out,the tape caught up 2 us & the nfl teams adjusted,after that Quinn didn't adjusted back..

He's an upgrade from Quinn. That playoff game against GB should have gotten Quinn fired immediately after the game, and should have made owners think really hard about hiring him. McCarthy should be gone too. I'm guessing after this season McCarthy and Dak will be gone.
Zims defense is going to help Dak improve his post snap reads. Iron is going to sharpen Iron this season. If this team can finally stop the run and develop some sort of run game they could actually be successful in the postseason this upcoming season.
