ESERANZA BEACH
Esperanza beach is a public beach located in Barangay Esperanza, San Francisco, Camotes Islands, Cebu Province. The beach does not have an entrance fee.
It is an almost undeveloped, unspoiled and non-commercialized secluded beach in Camotes Islands, Cebu Province.
BAKHAW BEACH
Bakhaw Beach has a long stretch of powdery white sand framed by coconut palms and turquoise waters. The way to this beach from the island’s main road was over a narrow and unpaved roadway.
Bakhaw beach is a wide open resort, secluded, serene and just natural - nothing man-made distractions…
To see this place, you have to pass through some dirt roads, coconut tree plantation, green grasses and plants…
Then you’ll reach a long stretch of white sand that divide the clear blue waters and the island lined with palm trees.
As of this writing, there are no resort facilities - no beach houses nor cottages and no business structures around.
In other words…
It is an almost undeveloped, unspoiled and non-commercialized secluded beach in Camotes Islands, Cebu Province.
(However, you may have to pay 5 pesos (less than a US dollar) in order to enter the premises.)
The only closest resort with a concrete structure available for rent is the Borromeo Beach Resort. You can stay at Borromeo’s and come to Bakhaw beach is you really want to be alone (or with somebody) for peace and quiet with the ocean.
TIPS & LOCATION
Bakhaw Beach resort is situated in Barangay Esperanza, San Francisco, Camotes Islands, Cebu Province.
Finding and getting there:
• It is about 35 minutes by motorcycle ride from Consuelo Port.
• It is better to take the ‘habal-habal’ motorcycles (an adventure ride for first timers!)
• The cost would not be more than a 100 pesos (more than 2 US dollars)
Bring your own life support… food supply!
Since there are no restaurants and stores around, you need to bring with you food supplies or facilities for your outing or picnic at this secluded beach.
ALIYANARAH LODGE
It is an affordable lodge where you can stay while at Bakhaw Beach.
It is also located just a few meters from San Francisco Baywalk, and a good walk away from the municipality’s public market, gymnasium, municipal hall, and Saint Joseph’s Parish Church.
