- Israel reportedly used front companies, like Hungary-based BAC Consulting, to supply explosive-laden pagers to Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon. These pagers, engineered by Israeli intelligence officers, were detonated on September 17, killing at least 12 people. The next day, walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah also exploded, bringing the death toll to over 20. Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attacks, which targeted Hezbollah’s communications.
