This hungarian folkdance from the Mezőség|Szék check out this: ua-cam.com/video/fxkzaDVGxjs/v-deo.html and this: ua-cam.com/video/GG4hz5r4-B0/v-deo.html These are the same dances by another dancers!
It does still happen in Hungary and the Carpathian Basin! In a few small villages it's still a normal part of life, but in many other places they have these traditions passed on at events like weddings and dance parties! Our tradition is important to us, and try to pass it on whenever we can:)
@@martakalmar7661 Thank you for responding. I'd forgotten about this gem of a video. You know, I'm finding a lot of interesting things like this from Hungary. It's not a country we in the United States really learn much about. But yes, you're right. Tradition is important. These are not my traditions, but I love them nonetheless. I like knowing that somewhere in the world there is a place of permanence and remembering in all the upheaval.
@@Pteromandias so true! Yes, no one here in North America even knows of us Hungarians, and there isn't much culture here, but Hungarians here too try to preserve it. Everything you just said is SO True especially in this upheaval(s) right now! So happy to hear someone interested in our culture!
A kedvenc táncom a széki! ❤Én voltam itt ahol ezt a videót készítették.
Dude's carrying a friggin double bass down the street.
Az első néptánc a SZÉKI volt, amit (a Kassák klubban = SEBŐ KLUB) megtanultam...boldog idők...
Is this something that actually happens somewhere in the world? Because I've never seen such a thing.

@@Pteromandias this video is actually not from today's Hungary, but from Transylvania, today's Romania, from a historically hungarian region/village.
