Recently, I played in a Christmas Concert in Sorel-Tracy (Concert Nostalgie d'hiver) and I am happy to share with you my performance 😊!! Here is the first one of two videos, "Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris" arranged by André Gagnon. As you can see in the video, I'm pregnant and my baby boy will be born soon 🥰💙 (expected in January) !!
"Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris" is a French Christmas carol whose origins trace back to France. The exact origin of the song is not definitively known, but it is believed to have emerged in the 19th century.
The lyrics of the song describe the scene of the Nativity, portraying the stable where Jesus Christ was born, mentioning the ox and the gray donkey present at the manger. The carol has become a part of the Christmas repertoire in French-speaking countries and is often sung during the holiday season.

Récemment, j'ai joué lors d'un concert de Noël à Sorel-Tracy (Concert Nostalgie d'hiver) et je suis heureuse de partager avec vous ma prestation 😊!! Voici la première des deux vidéos, la pièce "Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris" arrangée par André Gagnon. Comme vous pouvez le voir dans la vidéo, je suis enceinte et la naissance de mon petit garçon est pour bientôt 🥰💙 (son arrivée est prévue en janvier) !!
"Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris" est un chant de Noël français. L'origine exacte de la chanson n'est pas clairement connue, mais on pense qu'elle est apparue au 19e siècle.
Les paroles de la chanson décrivent la scène de la Nativité, représentant l'étable où Jésus-Christ est né, mentionnant le bœuf et l'âne gris présents à la crèche. Ce chant fait partie du répertoire de Noël dans les pays francophones et est souvent chanté pendant la période des fêtes.

This was a wonderful piano performance of this particular Christmas carol. I enjoyed listening to it being played by you on the piano. You played phenomenally on your instrument, and I especially enjoyed listening to the bits and elements of ritardando and decrescendo, which were included in this piece’s ending. I also enjoyed learning about the origins of this Christmas carol, and the meaning of its lyrics, which you included in this video’s description. I will definitely listen to this carol’s version with lyrics, since your video has made me curious on this French musical piece. I hope you enjoyed performing at the Christmas concert.
